So a lot of you heard my Porsche story and choice between it or a Miata. However because I think a lot, I've started to consider other stuff. Ideally I want a two sports convertible but I don't know if I could get one in budget. Ive also been wanting something American lately for some reason. Maybe a 70s or 60s truck? Anyway tell me your suggestions.
Budget is $4000 max.

You are kind of screwed with that budget. But I do have a website I like to check from time to time for classic cars. They tend to have some cool stuff. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/search_result.php?sort=year&location=&make=GMC&model=
I do not work for them and am not soliciting for them.
For some reason I've been wanting an AMC Gremlin

Just ask yourself: What would Jeremy Clarkson do?

Here's a perfect 60s/70s truck

You can pick up a nice a 240z project car for cheap, and turn them into something frigging sweet. And broncos make awesome projects too

Get a used smart car and do an engine swap. Fun.

Honda S2000?

Datsun Roadster maybe? Alfa Spider if you're brave and/or foolish.

Get a turn of a millenium mustang and turn it into a drag car. Throw the weight in the back, put a huge supercharger on the hood and put together your own rollcage. That car is light and you might need a rollcage.

My '67 Mustang is still for sale.

Early 90's S-10 pickup.

Fox body Mustang convertible. The drag racers didn't grab all those, for they aren't the best for big Hp engines, but they can still have a potent engine.

I'll just leave this for a suggestion. I'm not sure if you could find a beat up one for that price.

Smart car

Get an old ford. They are by far the best projects and look amazing. Mid 70's range is my favourite, the mustang taking the cake.
