What are the Kings plotting?

First off, I just want to say thanks for letting me in The Ashen Conflux. Now, for the theory. Will the Kings attempt to do what Skolas did? House of Kings card-
The colors of the House of Kings are rarely seen. They act with brutal contempt as if they hold their rivals-other Fallen and City alike-in disdain...
Interesting. So, House Kings obviously holds hatred for humans and the City, but also shows that they hate the other houses, which isn't exactly ground breaking. But, it's the fact that they see them as actual enemies, not just rivals. During the House of Wolves DLC, there was a mission called the Ruling House. In that mission, you saw three ambassadors around a table, two hailing from Kings, one from Wolves. But, those King Barons weren't as they seemed. They were assassins. In the Paskin, King Baron card, Uldren talks about how the Kings aren't going to just roll over and let Skolas subjugate them. Then, in the next card, Vekis, King Baron, Uldren elaborates on how why the Kings just sent two Barons to meet Yavek. It's because, as I said earlier, because they weren't just common Barons, but assassins. Maybe the Kell of Kings thought Skolas himself would appear, or maybe he wanted to send a message to Skolas with Yavek's head. Either way, they were stopped. But, it just shows how clever and ambitious the Kings are. And now, with Skolas out of the way, and a new technological enhancement(SIVA) the Kings can become even more powerful than ever before. They rule the Devils. They most likely rule the Splicers as well, as you can see King banners all over the Archon's Forge. What's also interesting is the confuzzling case of Aksor. A disciple of Kaliks, Aksor crusaded against the City and the Awoken. But, he is bathed in King colors, has King banners, and is trying to join Winter. Perhaps Aksor had orders to infiltrate Winter, after he possibly joined Kings? It would theoretically make sense, as Winter was a major force(until the Guardian obliterated it), with a strong Kell, Draksis. To sum up, I believe that House Kings is trying to get all the Houses together, like Skolas did. They already rule Devils, and with their uncovering of SIVA, Kings could possibly be stronger. House Kings may have been trying to eliminate their direct competition, Wolves, becuase Skolas had the same idea. Kings may have tried to pull Winter to them, with the Priest Aksor. But now, with almost all Houses(King untouched) destroyed, they may all just join willingly. And when they do, the City may not stand for a third time. *EDIT*

The Kings watch from afar, like bosses. They wouldn't send their ranks out when they can take advantage of the expendable Devils. They tested SIVA's augmentative abilities in the Devils, like lab rats. They needed to see what it would do to Fallen DNA, without risk of damaging a King. After Aksis, who was most likely ordered by the Kings to become so powerful, they've seen its capabilities and can now augment it even further. The Kings aren't present in the plaguelands as encounters, because being in such a place is beneath them. But surely they've made their presence known by their banners and connection to the Devils. What the Kings have planned for us will make Aksis look like a true puppet.
Written by Goku Black. This is a really good explanation of how the Kings are manipulative beings.

If there's anything wrong with my theory, please feel free to say so in the comments.

3 walls! New record!
*Last edited 11/20/16*

    • Really good thoughts I'm just surprised that bungee hasn't elaborated on the house of kings more often- seems like they're doing so for a reason- and bungie is always doing stuff like that. Likewise- I would like to see more on the house of exile on the moon. The fallen are my favorite species and are very intricate and very unique in ways relating to the human race. The Hive gods are quite well known, but what about Oryxs two sisters and the Cabal Empire. I hope that sooner or later bungie will decide to show these lesser known enemies

    • Nice theory! This is what I was thinking! My thoughts were that the wolves would join the DS's because of their similarities: both tried to use ancient technology, both are outcasts as fallen, and both are the most warlike of the fallen houses.

        • I'd like to point out that Aksor was a Wolf and was imprisoned by the Awoken, as stated in the grimoire. If you read the Taniks the Scarred grimoire, you'll see that he was hired by Winter to break Aksor out (note that Taniks is the only one to hav successfully raided the PoE). I'm pretty sure this text is said during the Archon Priest strike, but its stated that House Winter wanted Aksor to join their House so they would hav a new and powerful asset. And why wouldn't Aksor join Winter, seeing how Winter rescued him and the Wolves were in service to the Queen? We merely killed Aksor before he could officially become a part of Winter. I don't know why he wears all that yellow, he probably just doesn't feel like wearing the colors of his House, but there's been no hint of him being connected with Kings or even the Devils

          • Ever since HOW, we have known that the House of Kings prefers to use proxies to do their dirty work. It's entirely possible that the Kings were the masterminds being the SIVA Crisis.

          • Their kell is a strategical genius. He has hidden all his high ranked fallen except 3 barons and an archon priest. No prime servitor, no Archon, no nothing. I really am eager to see a full scale invasion. If you theory is correct, we might see a full scale invasion led by the kings ; Variks has second thoughts about being allied with the reef. He can rebuild judgement and with that he might convince other houses, or what is left of them, to join the kings under one banner and become a huge threat to the entire city.

              • Interesting theory...I like it. I feel like the Kings are kind of like bosses. Watching all the other peons do dirty work, while they work in secrecy for a much bigger plan. Judging from how thier hideout looked and when they appeared during The Last Array mission, the Kings seem to be quite smart. More than the average Fallen would be. Maybe they want to try and rebuild thier society on Earth, but humanity is in the way. That's why we saw an image of the Traveler and the Last City in thier hideout. They're probably planning to attack the city, but don't have enough resources yet. When approached by the Wolves, Skolas likely would've offered them a chance to eradicate humanity if the Kings offered thier service to him, knowing what it meant to them. But that failed. That also explains why they've been so secretive with thier work, so that they don't arouse any suspicion and remain unnoticed until they are ready.

                  • Hmm. Sorry in advance for long text. An important thing to note is that the Devils do also act under their own authority. Im not saying the Kings dont have control over them. Im saying that if the Kings have an order, then the other Houses follow. But if they don't, the Devil's won't just stay put. House Kings are above the other houses, in hierarchy and mentality. The SIVA Crisis stinks of amateurism. Twilight Gap is the most dangerous battle we have faced off against the Fallen in. And this is what House Kings is capable of. Without anybody knowing, they orchestrated an entire war on the City, uniting Fallen Houses that had been scattered across the system. They have authority. That much is clear. But they don't waste it on nonsense. It is only after they tested the warfare tactic with the Devils at Six Fronts (a King presence in that battle was not noted) that they finalised a solid, groundbreaking plan. That is how the Kings operate. House Devils have always been scavenging. This is not new. But they did chance upon SIVA. This is what is new. The Devils focused all their resources into uncovering SIVA and studying it using data from Clovis Bray. But their profile was not low. They didnt think about who saw what was going on, they just gave it their all. This is the reason why Saladin was able to stop it from becoming a real issue and could prepare for it. When the Fallen attacked us during Six Fronts we held the line. But we didnt expect that. When they attacked us during Twilight Gap I cannot say that we were even remotely prepared for that kind of attack. It would have been a disastrous defeat had the Wolves not been stopped. We had to fall on Lord Saladin to back us up. This is the work of the Kings; detailed planning and organisation for a massive, sudden action. What I'm saying is: When the Kings are involved, the City will be under immediate danger. But not only did SIVA not reach the City, it was stopped. The Kings are not known to be part of a failure this bad. If they were in any way involved in SIVA it would be to just monitor the Devils and see the potential of SIVA against the Guardians. Which isnt much apparently. So we have yet to see what marvelous plan the Kings are hatching. But if they did manage to get a hold of SIVA and study it for themselves... It would be interesting but not entirely likely. They don't have a stupid conduit like Aksis and they don't have a replication chamber.

                    • I've been thinking this all along. Good to know I'm not alone. The Kings are very very smart. If the other destroyed Fallen houses are gone, the remnants are guaranteed to join the Kings. If they do join, we may be in trouble. Even if we've destroyed SIVA.

                    • I dont think they believe in the "kell of kells" prophecy, but rather use other houses as they see fit. Until i saw Myelins video on siva, i suspected that the kings actually used the remaining devils as test subjects. Imagine if they learnt above siva with all their digging, and sent a baron (Aksis) and coordinate the devils, gain access to siva and see if it is a viable tool. I dont have any evidence besides the line at the start of the second mission, stating somebody must have got them organised. That and instinct, the devils were a shattered house, skolas showed no respect for, and they showed very little signs of a inquisitive nature. No all of sudden they are try to break into rasputin (Fallen sabre) and have tinkered with siva. To me all these events in a timeline have the signature of the kings puppetry.

Go kill some fallen in the plague lands and find out what's happening". - 2. I Kora "wow, that was a lot of fallen. They are strong, and must have an incredibly powerful Kell. Fallen are amassing in the Cosmodrome, go stop them before they reach the wall". - 3. Cayde "Did you see that servitor! Good thing you came along when you did. We lifted some Intel from the wreckage of the servitor and know the location of their priest. Go kill him... he's hiding in the rocket yard, hopefully we'll discover the location of their Kell by the time you come back. Get your rock off my map." - 4. Zavala "what a plot twist! The Kell is the archon priest! He escaped narrowly and has fled to the moon, go get him before he can regroup". - 5. Zavala "Good job guardian, we have him cornered in the world's grave. Go finish him". $30. 30 minutes of new game play coupled with 30 minutes of travel and tower time equals 1 hour of new game play!!! 8 new exotics (4 of which won't be released for a year), 2 new PvP maps, 6 new dances, 2 new sparrows!!!!!

                          • Nothing, the kings are planning nothing. Seriously, we beat the vex, we beat the hive, we beat skolas (in all honesty it doesn't make sense since crota and the vex should have been infinitly more powerful than skolas) and then we beat Oryx. Seriously, by any means of comparison at this point we are the superpower of the galaxy, if at lest not the solar system. Splicers and SIVA was a joke, but whatever. Anything going foreword in destiny needs to introduce some sort of new superpower for us to fight, the fallen at this point are nothing, I still believe Oryx was the pinnacle of powerful enemies. Nothing else at this point really compares. If anything D2 should bring the fallen into an alliance with us because we could/should be able to absolutely crush them and exterminate their race at any point we choose to. Cabal? Meh.... If anything I think it's a little ridiculous how they created the story and the game, year one we should have been fighting fallen and cabal, massive campaigns and wars and story with them. The Hive, Taken, and Vex shouldn't have even been introduced yet (maybe a little hive or vex here or there to scare us or something, maybe seeing lost stories or hints to them) but we should have beaten the fallen and cabal first, established a universe, a large story, and then game changers like the vex could show up, then hive, then taken. Progressively fighting stronger and more powerful enemies. Building up the lore. Bungo made a huge mistake by having us essentially destory the Vex in what, 15 missions? Destroy the Hive in no time. These guys are the biggest and baddest bosses out there. Atheon, Crota, Oryx, should have only been spoken or teased about. And bungo shot themselves in the foot by trying to convince us that after killing these three (if not even the first two) anything else should provide a challenge in comparison to these gods.

                            • The Kings seem like the type of Fallen that are really good at brooding. So if anything, they will just keep brooding away in King's Watch and wherever else they are hiding. In all honesty though, I don't think the Kings are in a position to do much. After all the challenges the guardians have beaten and come out stronger from, it would be pretty silly for the Kings to attack the city now. If I were the Kings, I'd try to do something like what the Hive were doing way long ago with a shard of the Traveler. Since they don't have mystical dark space magic however, I'd think they might try to manipulate the shard using SIVA or something else. Just my two cents.
