Infusion guide (legendary and exotic)

[b][u]Legendary Infusion Guide[/u][/b] [b]13th Feb 2016 Patch 2.1[/b] This calculation will begin at 280. Reason being is, all arms day weapons drop at this light level as well as most legendaries (including armour) you receive will be close to a light level of 280. [b]1.[/b] Infuse your 280 weapon/armour with a 310 light level item. It will rise to 304. [b]2.[/b] Continue to infuse with a 316 resulting in a 314 light level. [b]3.[/b] Then finally, infuse with a 320 and tadaa! Your legendary item is now 320! [b]Note: Infusing a legendary by 6 points is very economical.(to a degree)[/b] Example:100 light level legendary item is infused with a 106 light level item will increase to 106. But, using 107 or 108 infusion items will also result in 106. Which is a waste. However, 109 will raise the 100 light gear to 107. I still see this as a waste as a 110 piece of amour will boost the 100 light gear to 108. [b]From this point on 111 will raise it to 109. 112, will raise it to 110 etc.[/b] [b][u]Exotic Infusion Guide[/u][/b] I have made 2 separate calculations. One for [i]280 exotics off the blueprint walls or from Xur[/i] and another for [i]310 drops. [/i] 280 Exotic Gear infused [b]3[/b] times with [b]3[/b] 320 gear will result in a 320 exotic item. The numbers are as follows: [b]280+320= 308+320= 316+320=320[/b] [b]310 DROP[/b] super simple calculation: [b]310+318=316+320=320[/b] [b]NOTE: infusing a 290 exotic with a 319 piece of gear will bring it to 310. Exotics rank up a little stricter than legendaries.[/b] Compared to legendaries that are most efficient at 6, exotics follow this law but in 4 level increments. (Again, to a degree as shown above) I sure hope this is useful and helps you guys use the most out of your infusion gear and prevent you from infusing inefficiently. (What I mean by this is best explained with an example. You infuse a 310 and then a 320 piece of gear on a 280 legendary and conclude with a 318 piece of gear. Requiring another 320 item to reach the maximum level.) -Mega :]
