Why are players quitting Destiny?
What do you guys think of this!? I've been noticing a HUGE decline in my friends who play Destiny still! Most of my REAL LIFE friends all stopped playing except me and others whom I met online have quit as well! Two of my old clans have vanished! My friends list slashed in half!
EDIT: out of my old clan and 182 friends on PSN, all of which used to play destiny, there are 72 online and 2 of them are playing Destiny! So if this trend continues its going to be slim pickens! I feel like its getting worse by the day! **[b]PLEASE BUMP THIS UP[/b] so Bungie will see this!***
Why do you think players are quitting? Do you know of anyone else who has quit? Chime in let us know why you will quit playing or not? Cheers!

I find myself still playing, but my game sessions are usually short. I can only do so much before getting burned out. HoW needs to drop soon.

I stopped recently because: -repetitive -burnt out on the game -borderlands -farcry -dragon age -GTA HEISTSSSS!! But mainly because its boring now

After reading all these comments and inputs from people. It made me really realize that the main problem is... Too many d**n problems..and this is in just one game! Lol And it's only been out 7 months. If that's not proof that it was poorly designed, I don't know what is.

I'd say it stands to reason that the longer we go without more content players are presented more options to play. I have only about 5-10 hours a week to play if I get that so it's not stale fore me, but I understand why some players are finding other games to play. I would expect many will come back after HOW drops. I think Bungie underestimated how many people would play PvE until their eyes bleed. While also expecting those same people to complete all the PvE stuff and play PvP after that. I think there are two sections of the community and while there are players of both they are the minority.

I raided twice a couple days ago but other than that I haven't played in weeks. So bored and tired of the same grind (bounties and other daily activities). I don't even play it as a Tuesday night game anymore. I might not even get HoW because it'll just be the same crap all over again but with a new raid and 3 missions. Zero desire to play now. Funny, 4 weeks ago and I loved this game. Great game but not enough to do.

Bloodborne :-) Does not mean I do not like Destiny anymore, but it is nice to take a break from the grind. In particular since there is nothing new to do before HoW. No worries, a break keeps it fresh and ppl will be back for HoW!

Edited by Void: 3/29/2015 8:09:32 AMI'll give you my personnal reasons : - i can't stand grinding any pve activity anymore. - Crucible : Control and clash : i get 9 times out of 10 against a 4 to 6 fireteam of 2k7-2k9 grimoire while i'm paired with absolute noobs or ppl that can't go positive. Countless times i'm the MVP across both teams and have to face a severe defeat. Skirmish : this is the same as control, but vs a fireteam of 3. Rumble : is ruined because of fireteams of thorn bounty assholes or grimoire completionists that can't win fairly. Damn wintraders, they deserve a permaban. And above all, even when i log, i do it because i'm boring but have absolutely zero desire to play.

1 ReplyI'm not on enough to be as far. The game is still interesting to me. But yeah, full-time players are probably bored since no HoW yet. I'd say stock up on coins and Vanguard Marks till HoW, then buy new gear! :-)

They'll be back when DLC drops. I'd say most of my friends still play on Tuesdays, at least.

Edited by Chibadiba: 3/29/2015 7:34:02 AMAfter getting every exotic(not including Necrochasm), got all raid weapons (not including word of crota), got all 3 classes to lvl 32, ran all raid modes multiple times, and ran all of the strikes countless times the game has gotten boring. The only things left that I want are the word of crota, Felwinter's lie and a shotgun with armor piercing rounds and that's not going to happen anytime soon. For now I'm playing Dragonball Xenoverse and MHU4. Once HoW comes out or the next IB comes out and has Felwinter's lie I'll start playing again. Yeti I still come back to this forum for some reason...

I know people who quit too. I'm fine with Destiny. I dont have the dlc. I play it on my brothers ps3 when I visit though. I main destiny on 360 but I side play on ps3 sometimes on the weekend and ps3 is my shot at dlc. But yah if I got the dlc for free I would play it but thats about it. For me I have to be 100% satisfied with the game before getting dlc. As you can tell Destiny is at probably a 85% satisfaction rate for me. I feel base game isnt as complete as it should be. Crota should have been part of the base and HoW the first dlc then one more after. I own the full dlc for 3 games and that is it. Skyrim, Left 4 Dead 2, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. All of which I absolutely love playing and play at least one of those games once a day. Still though Destiny is fun and that is my main game of choice right now.

2 RepliesI'm a day one player with 500+ hours in Destiny. You can only play a game for so long before the content gets stale. Honestly there are blaring flaws in the game that Bungie is either skirting around or is arrogantly ignoring the existence of. Which is pissing a lot of people off. I love the game but i'm pretty much done with it till HOW arrives.

3 RepliesEverybody wants to bitch and complain about HoW and how they want it now instead of waiting. As much as I want it out now, look at what happened when bungie rushed TDB. They rushed on the raid and its complete shit. I'd rather wait a little longer and actually have a better DLC than have it now and be shit.
