What do you guys think of this!? I've been noticing a HUGE decline in my friends who play Destiny still! Most of my REAL LIFE friends all stopped playing except me and others whom I met online have quit as well! Two of my old clans have vanished! My friends list slashed in half!
EDIT: out of my old clan and 182 friends on PSN, all of which used to play destiny, there are 72 online and 2 of them are playing Destiny! So if this trend continues its going to be slim pickens! I feel like its getting worse by the day! **PLEASE BUMP THIS UP so Bungie will see this!***
Why do you think players are quitting? Do you know of anyone else who has quit? Chime in let us know why you will quit playing or not? Cheers!

A lot of my friends are not playing at the moment. We are all day one-ers, and have done all that we wanted to so far. Majority will be back in Sep. So did your friends quit for good, or will they b back for Ttk?
-
Player comes and go. It's a game, they have a life and family, work or school. Playing Destiny is a privilege, not a must In life. Get your priorities straight son.
-
Nobody knows why they're leaving. They'll all come back within a week.
-
Happened about a month before TDB and about a month before HoW, and now it's happening again. I think the obvious thing that needs improving is the longevity of the gameplay of the DLCs. I know that's quite a broad statement, and I don't pretend to have the answers. On the bright side, there's something about Destiny that keeps bringing players back.
-
Nothing to do, not worth doing same the things any more. Waiting for ttk, play that. Then wait for The next dlc
-
a) not true or b) cause kids are to poor to buy DLCs?! or c) tears collected Meg
-
Some people just can't be satisfied unfortunately.
-
Don't worry, they'll all be back Sept 15th.
-
Most of my friends are gone and the rest only come on for try hards of Osiris
-
once TTK they will flood back

Edited by InfernalArtist3: 8/11/2015 2:07:19 PMMy friends (and I) have mostly stopped playing because- 1. The time invested isn't worth the reward when you have pretty much everything (such as doing nightfall on all characters and only getting motes and maybe an exotic shard because we have everything we got) 2. Nerfing everything repeatedly, there is no balance 3. When TTK drops we will have to drop the weapons we have been using for months or even a whole year, and there is absolutely no way to make them usable again, making all the time to get them pointless. Also R.I.P Dinklebot. Newest issue of GameInformer says that Dinklage is not coming back and Nolan North is redoing ALL lines for your Ghost in Destiny
-
A lot are probably taking a break until expansion comes out
-
Players aren't quitting, they are playing other games until the next DLC comes out. That list of yours will be much more destiny filled come the 7th sept.
-
i think most people are waiting for the taken king, i still play but not so often because im too excited for ttk lol
-
Because HoW was kind of a let down. They'll be back for 3 new subclasses and a raid.
-
nothing to do...... im pve only... when there is somthing to do the game is fun.
-
Post like this are stupid. Every game has a shelf life and people move on to the next game. Most will return

Edited by The New Monarch: 8/11/2015 1:21:35 PMI think there's a lot of players who either bought into the hype and ultimately didn't get hooked or the other side of that were nearly addicted and have burned themselves out. Anyone in between is still at least active and I'm sure there will be a nice bump in the next 1-2 months.
-
They are like children. They don't like change. Its not even like you cant keep your weapons. You can. Just for the end game stuff you will need to use the new better, more balanced weapons. Which look awesome from the gameplay Vids I've seen so far. Everyone needs to get of their high horses and calm the -blam!- down. What right do you have to demand your weapons get upgraded. Do you want people sniping with shotguna for the next ten years, or drag scoping, thorn abusing....
-
becuz, the weapon tuning and plus school is starting so i wont have time

Edited by Pave0581: 8/11/2015 12:53:18 PMReason players are quitting? Two ways to take this, either they're waiting for The Taken King and having a break. Or they've got everything they needed and don't see the point as playing much anymore. Or I suppose you could say people rage quit this game etc. I don't know anyone on my friends list quitting, people are taking breaks and waiting for TTK but not quitting. Will I quit playing? Definitely not, I enjoy the game too much and the only thing that can make me get off it is gonna be the release of Fallout 4, even then I'll still be playing
-
I'm on the verge of quitting Destiny (PS4), owned the game since launch invested well over 1000 hours on this game already. Have wanted a Hawkmoon since last year played many Crotas End/Vault of Glass and Prison of Elders/ Vanguard Dragon Raids and seen it drop for my friends and I keep getting the same old exotics not fun.
-
Same here... I play a lot and have almost 1000 hours in destiny (I have a job so I'm not on 24/7 as I'd like to be) I have 2 34's and would like to have a clan or friends. I play a lot and love to! My friends... Ehh not so much. Apparently ESO is better. But I beg to differ. If anyone wants to play hit me up xD
-
Most people are wrong with their answers, the most popular reasons are A: couldnt be bpthered to invest the time and quit after like 50 hours B: got bored of the same over and over so waiting for TTK C: Have everything they could want in the game so waiting for TTK
-
I have all i need, the exotics, the gear.... its going to be obsolete in taken king. So why spend time? Im waiting to get the new stuff with ttk and the "new" levelsystem.
-
I stopped because rng and no optional matchmaking for end game.
