I saw one of these posted on another DoD forum site. Basically you get the same 6 people with some alternates and the run the raid every week at whatever set time. This will make it faster and more efficient on week roll over.
Good idea? Bad idea?
I know it kinda gets into the..so and so didn't pick me and I want to be leader drama a little bit...
To be honest it seems like most of seem to almost fall in a group of 6 just by the times we get on and who is decided to what.
EDIT: now we need to form the teams...ideas on.who on.each team? I agree on attempting to get a good mix of who is good with what class
EDIT: the goal is to be like the video linked =)

Yeah It would be nice to get regular team and raid time. When I usually get on everyone already in teams. So for me I have limited time and want to maximize the time I have . Times I'm on wed 9pm-12 (nightfall and raids) Friday 9pm- whenever (weekly and raids) Saturday, when I'm on raids. And help if anyone needs it.

I would like to get in on more raids. 31 hunter or 30 warlock. Usually on 8 - 11pm PST . Completed VoG only 1 time and have yet to do Crota
-
BERBERICK stated his own group an hour later...
-
There MUST be 1 leader. .. must. . 2 or 3 people barking orders don't work. But the mark of a true leader is knowing when to put someone else in charge.
-
Just to follow up on this: Bamsgrill, DashD-M and Fatfluck meet up at 830/9pm est on Tuesday evenings. We would love to add 3 more regulars for raiding too.
-
I have 4 for my group currently I need a couple more.

I made a post on the "raid boot camp" thread about doing a raid tomorrow night. If it goes well, maybe it could be a weekly thing. (Liked your idea so much Zblur, I'm running with it haha)
-
Great count me in Zblur I believe this will bring greater success to our raids!!!
-
I guess I can do Tuesdays too. So my schedule is T-Th 8pm - 11:30pm.
-
I can be an alt/filler. Too erratic of a schedule.

Forming a solid group that has their roles defined has huge benefits. Making sure that you get what you need, and getting it done in a timely manner, so you don't have to fret about it during the week would be nice. I would love to join, I just can't pin myself down to an exact day/time. A 5 month old and (although very understanding) wife won't allow that. Hopefully, if you guys knock it out quickly and efficiently, that opens some free time to help other Dads out! :)
-
Everyone has different ideas of what they should be doing during different parts of the raids...having a semi-solid group that has run it together multiple times should create a defined set of roles for each person. This would increase efficiency and, in theory, drive down the completion times. This should consistently get the raids down to approximately the amount of time it takes to do a nightfall/weekly. Sign me up. I don't think this would be a problem with this group, but we would just need to make sure the vets are taking care of the guys less familiar with the raids.

I agree. I wanted to start something like this with the raid setup: raid boot camp. But there hasn't been much interest in that thread. I'm down for regular raiding. A group that does regulars on Wed or Thurs nights Eastern are best for me. However after doing these regular raids sometimes it's fun to join others and help out the less experienced. So I'd be open to a regular noob group as well.

What's the right combo? 2 or all 3 classes? 2 hunters for the lamps, 2 warlocks for the bridge revive (if that's how you play it) and you always need 2 titans for bubbles.
-
I'm always looking to raid.
-
I'm all for it
-
I like the idea. No more fire teams of 6 noob warlocks with no rocket launchers haha. It would be good though to get teams that have the right combo of classes and weapons. Watching these teams on YouTube knock crota out in under 5 minutes, you see how important communication is and they know each others moves before they make them.

We did this in BackWater and it makes running raids pretty efficient we got running Vog normal down to a hour and atheons in two ports. Once your get ur group grooving together good you know what to expect from each other and makes recovering from near wipes that much easier

I love this idea. I would love to progress with a group and be able plan/plan around a set date and time. Thanks for posting this.
