crux of crota only drops when fully upgraded eidolon ally equiped?

My crux dropped yesterday and I didn't have mine maxed or even on my character. Also, my friend got his crux second hard mode and he didn't even have a husk of the pit.

1 ReplyDoes anybody know if it somehow matters if you have done normal mode before? We've done a lot of hard runs and one member of our fire team has received the crux the third time now, while all others did not even get one. Usually we are doing normal mode before hard and this guy doesn't attend the normal runs.

Got 3 and never had it equipped, infact my first one i didnt even have the husk upgraded and it was in my vault.

Clan leader got his crux last week and he had never even had a husk drop for him. Course, he grinds one out the next day lol

Related question: Will it go to post master if your materials are full? I just realized every hard completion I've done so far I have had full materials on my character.

Absolutely false. I didn't even have my eidolon in my inventory when i received my crux of crota. Its just plain rng.
