No, I read your post: you feel having more than one toon of single class is cheesing or somehow an oversight. But unfortunately I fail to be impressed by your brilliance enough to agree. So let's try it again with elaboration for those who don't realize that their opinions aren't irrefutable facts : Destiny is not the only game that has allowed more than one toon of a single class. It won't be the last. There is no such thing as a "fake" 32. Assuming they didn't actually hack or cheat (and again, multiples of a single class is not cheating) if they are 32, they earned it in some fashion. As much as anything can truly be earned in a pure RNG reward system.
I don't have to try to sound smart, when you're doing such a fantastic job of sounding ignorant.
If you want to play three separate classes, do so. I have one of each myself, because I find maximum enjoyment by experiencing each class. But if someone wants to play two or three of one, because they simply don't like one or two of the classes or because they feel that it's more efficient to play as one to maximize their odds in the RNG? Let them
Grow up and quit trying to force the other kids in the neighborhood to play by your arbitrary, self-imposed rules.

The only reason a player would make three of the same class is to exploit the raid RNG three times in one week. There is no other justification. I just blew you out of the water in two sentences. Thanks for trying though.
-
The developers themselves don't care if you make more than one of a class and have said so. There: blew you out of the water in one sentence. Just let it go. You'll enjoy yourself far more if you quit obsessing about how other people play, especially when the developer agree with those other people.
-
Nope sorry, it's cheating and I'm not going to let it go.
-
Good for you, just maybe argue your point without veiled insults. You just did it there. Keep doing that.
-
I'll keep doing what I do. Especially when addressing persons with no moral compass.

Playing the raid to get 3 rolls a week for one character type is not exploiting the RNG system. Is a guy that buys 10 power ball lottery tickets exploiting that system? No. They are increasing thwir chances of winning by buying more tickets. They paied money for those tickets. A player with three hunters is still playing the raid 3 times (are they cheesing the encounters? Cant say but that is a separate issue that is nit affected by having 3 of the same toon.) Boom. Blew you away !
-
No, its an exploit. It wont be adressed because its just one more thing wrong with the game. It looks bad.
-
Bungie is aware. They applauded it when they announced the first lvl 32 ever and described for all to read how to "exploit" the system to get raid gear quickly to hit max level in less than a week.
-
I am aware of the guy that cheated to 32 with Bungies consent. I'm just humbly trying to expose the double standards. In doing so, hopefully the cheap exploits won't make it into number 2. You can follow my posts, in the future, I'm going to go in depth more on the double standards with exploits.
-
Define double standard for me, because it doesnt seem like you are using it correctly here... That is not me trying to be a dick, but trying to fully understand what you are trying to say.
-
One double standard... is the materials for marks exploit that was actually never called an exploit but was removed a couple of months ago. The reason, was supposedly because it was too difficult and boring for people to go on patrols and collect materials. Some players were using this method to trade 50 mats for 5 marks and 25 rep. Thus, giving them an opertunity to skip crucible or vanguard and still max out marks every week. Now, I fail to see the difference between that exploit and the three same toon exploit. Both of those are, and were just as nefarious as cheesing raids. So Bungie needs to come out and say that the mats for marks exploit was in fact an exploit, and that they removed it because of that. Instead they have been hinding the real reason behind removing that trade option, by saying people were getting sick of collecting materials. Which is true, people were tired of that. But yet, they allow people to level three of the same toons to twenty, which isn't hard. Then use those same toons to run the raid three times a week or more, apparently. Also the introduction of commendations...designed to slow progress. Yet it's ok to use three same toons and spam raids all week. That's another double standard right there. I could go on...

Still not double standards. No group is being persicuted here. Everyone could paticipate in this game mechanic. And not an exploit because it functioned like intended. You think they didnt realize people would be able to far rep for gathering materials, god help who ever would want to do that... the slowest and most mind numbing way to get rep/marks but thats besides the point. That is the worst example of an exploit ever, and anyone could do it so not a double standard. They removed it cuz it was dumb. Why do you think people clammor to do the opposite? Cuz its way easier to farm marks for upgrade mats than the other way around. The more i read this im sure this is a troll, but had to respond just incase it was someone being serious. Would be furious of bungie made changes based on the comments and they went unopposed.

I don't think you know what a double standard is. A lot of people were using that trade system. Look it up on the forums. Patrols are mostly pointless now. New players are having a hard time getting people to help with public events. So it is a problem, people don't have a reason to go look for materials now. They at least need a different trade system for materials. I have so many mats that I'm deleting them now for the sake of space issues. And the three same toons does affect a lot of people. It fills the game with fake cheaters. It undermines people who do the right thing and I think it insults the whole community. Those of us that can recognize cheating when they see it. It's not a fair system of play. The RNG was designed to be fair. It becomes not fair when people exploit the RNG and get ahead of people that do the right thing. Your thinking is so deluded on this and I'm kind of just tired of explaining it to you.
-
Ok. I call bullshit in this whole thing now. That statement, Nobody can be that dumb unless they are doing it on purpose.
-
I shouldn't keep feeding this but this isnt a double standard, as that would indicate that bungie is holding one group to a different standard from another. Classic example is the man vs woman sexual activity standard that a man who sleeps with many women is just a bachelor doing his thing and is not frowned upon, where a woman who sleeps with many men is scrutinized and called a slut. That is what a double standard is. Nobody is being persicuted here. All have the same opportunity and options available to them. Not broke. Just a choice how to play.
