Well then don't get close enough to me when I use it. And also don't stand in a big group in a spot where I can jump down on you fools.
Another thing. All supers are OP. That's why they're called *gasp* SUPERS!
As they said in the old days of yor:
Acquire better skill
AKA
Git gud
Lol everyone says getter better when bitching about supers, the only super that takes skill is golden gun, blade dancer takes some not much, and the others just don't take any skill
-
Spamming melee isnt "a little skill" its NO SKILL.
-
Lol you try moving fast enough to doge bullets, we have very little health the people that spam are noobs, but you don't know the difference between spamming and moving fast, ok and Titan defenders camp in their bubbles with 3x extra health and shotguns, and strikers just hit 2 buttons and kill everything
-
Hunter, turn invis, camp capture point engage arc blade, spam melee. #gutted. Its called a super for a reason, dont give me some BS about how it takes no skill. Its not a mini game for shit sakes!

I'm 25 feet in the air and it still kills me. A ground pound has ridiculous anti-air capability, and that's the problem.
Another thing. All supers are OP. Edited by Thr0ckmorton: 1/22/2015 4:11:09 AMSo what if it has an aoe... Hunters and/or warlocks both get supers that lets you activate them and move around so unless golden gun roots you firmly in place from now on and sunslinger forces you to crawl I don't see how it's a big deal if titans can kill you with their super they get to activate maybe 3 times a game for probably 3 kills total

"Supers shouldn't be a one hit KO" So we should nerf all of them. Blade Dancer: OHKO Gunslinger: OHKO FoH: OHKO Nova Bomb: OHKO Every super is a one hit knock out. Not only are all supers balanced in a way/shape/form, but thy can easily be stopped. Blade Dancer: Shotgun, Fusion Rifle, or concentrated fire Gunslinger: Basically anything if you are close enough and can avoid the guy FoH: Concentrated fire or another super against them. Even fusions have worked for me before. Nova Bomb: Same as FoH All supers can be stopped. Are some of them harder to stop then others? Yes. Does it take much to stop one? It depends. I just don't understand why everyone complains about supers so much. Just deal with it. Like seriously you picked your class and someone else picked a different one. Doesn't matter. It's a game, have fun. I also have an actual tip for you. I've found that if you react quick enough against FoH, when you jump up and back away from it, you can escape it. It works for me a lot. You may say, "No it doesn't." I am just throwing it out there. Usually if you're far enough away from the center (example: the edge of the FoH ring or maybe a bit closer in) and you jump back and away, you can avoid the blast. However if he's already on top of you, say good night.
Trying to make a logical argument. It is just a game though. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the game.
Edited by Smarkdow: 1/22/2015 2:26:00 AM
"Supers shouldn't be a one hit KO"
I never said that. The exact quote was, "Supers should not be an automatic 'I win' button." I wouldn't mind Supers being as powerful as they are if they took a decent amount of skill to use. If they were more of a high risk, high reward sort of thing.

Edited by john_osborne: 1/25/2015 3:22:20 PMYeah you basically did. You said that they shouldn't be a "Automatic "I win" button" which sounds like you're sayibg they shouldn't OHK anybody. Now imagine people using their supers and the person doesn't get killed and they just easily kill you with weapon fire. It'd ve like Bladedancing except you would just waste your Super slashing one person to take them down.
-
Yeah you basically did.
No, I didn't.
You said that they shouldn't be a "Automatic "I win" button" which sounds like you're sayibg they shouldn't OHK anybody.
Nope. You can have Supers OHK without being an "I win" button by making them take a hell of a lot more skill to use then they do currently. Fist of Panic is a guaranteed kill in nearly every single circumstance and it's almost impossible to avoid since it has ridiculous anti-air capability. Would it really be gamebreaking if it couldn't kill people 25 feet in the air? No, it wouldn't. Interestingly enough, Golden Gun is an example of super that almost gets things right. It's OHK, but the Hunter is very vulnerable while it's in use. You can miss a shot, though it's very unlikely. The only problem with it is how easy the shots connect. Hell, even Nova Bomb isn't nearly as annoying as Fist of Panic, despite what people (mostly Titan (ab)users) have tried to tell me. Because at the very least, the Warlock is vulnerable and can be shot out of the air before he fires. There's a risk to activating it, which Striker Titans don't have.

Edited by john_osborne: 1/25/2015 7:17:58 PMThat's because you're unlucky enough to be fighting players who are PanicSupering dude like a a type of "Defense Mechanism". I play a Titan mostly and I honestly never Panic Supered in a PVP Match. I saved my Super for larger Groups and such. I think the Supers are actually balanced. If you get killed by Supers it's kind of your fault for just standing still and letting them get their Super off on ya.

Didn't include Defender Ward of Dawn or Sunsinger supers because they aren't one hit kill supers.
