People often snipe from the rocks up on the left side when you first enter the area with the Archon Priest. I'm sure it's the place everyone is assuming you're talking about.
Either way, you shouldn't get pissed when people don't understand what you're talking about. Obviously you weren't very clear when this many people assume you're talking about something else.

It's not that hard to figure out. Guess I put too much faith in the mental capacity of this community. Guess that won't happen again; I'll have to spell everything out for everyone and type real clearly for everyone.

At this point your grasping at straws because the earlier part of that strike can also be done with a few newbs sniping from up top. A few rockets in the 2 hydras that spawn, and anything with void easily takes out those monitors. If you are having a problem playing with randoms you should stick to playing with friends.... If you have any.
