I agree that it sucks if they are doing it the entire time at the archon priest before the priest comes out but I have no problem if someone is up there once the priest comes out.
If somebody is up there, then the other people should do what ever they can to lure him out into the fire lane. It's nice if somebody can just concentrate on dealing out damage and not have to worry about dodging and running around. If the priest is out of view, then the guy up there needs to be taking out any targets he can hit.
That's just good strategy. It's synergy

Oh, the area where your ghost is unlocking the door and you have all the hobgoblins, Minotaurs, and goblins come out? Yeah, I agree with you. That's area should be a two clip max sniper perch. After they soften up the wave, they need to come down and do clean up duty. And they sure as hell shouldn't be targeting goblins.
