Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of a sniper rifle being able to shoot accurately from long distances?
ALSO, YOU DIDNT PAY FOR THEIR COPY OF DESTINY, SO YOU CANT TELL THEM HOW TO PLAY THEIR GAME. THAT'S BUNGIE'S JOB. IF THEY DIDN'T WANT YOU SNIPING FROM THERE THEY WOULD PUT INVISIBLE WALLS OR OUT OF BOUNDS TIMERS THERE.

In real life it is, but in pretty much any FPS game it is not meant for extreme ranges. Just normal ranges. Not sitting at the back of the map.
