Prepare yourself for the noobs sniping in ROC strikes with the icebreakers because they have it.
This isn't a nightfall. You don't have to stand on the rocks. The ones that are on the top of the area where the 3 waves of [b]vex[/b] spawn on the Archon Priest [b]strike[/b] when you're opening the door near the beginning. I understand you're JUST NOW getting an icebreaker, but please.. Just don't.
[spoiler]EDIT: Apparently this post was unclear to a few. I don't care if you have icebreaker, I don't care if you bought it, I don't care if you use it. However I do care if you sit at the back of the map sniping off goblins, getting essentially no kills leaving me to do 90% of the work. That's leeching off of me, and is not a play style. I think the icebreaker is great, and I use it for a few things.. But this isn't a nightfall. You're not going to die instantly, and you don't have to stand on that diagonal rock at the back of the 3 wave area on the Archon Priest strike about 1000 meters away, or whatever it is doing nothing for anyone.

EDIT 6: Now that this thread has gone on for a few days and it has played out to my amusement, I will inform everyone that this does slightly bother me, but it doesn't matter to me all that much and I felt like getting a rise out of some people. 1 ReplyDude.... You should be able to solo a ROC strike. New IB owners leveling up their weapon in ROC should have no impact on you.... Unless you are a complete scrub.

I don't snipe because I have no skill or because I think I'll die if I go down into the fray. This entire game is always about crazy firefights and enemies getting the drop on me because of some shiny robot asshole alerting them to my presence. When I finally get the chance to pop some crits from as far away as I can I'm taking that chance. Don't like it? Too bad. Leave the strike or shut up and shoot.

Your title, and body of your post, were wrote with an aggressive and condescending tone. Why are you putting in edits insulting people's intelligence, when they interpreted your message exactly as you typed it? You don't think so? Why use the word "NOOB" in your title then? Why type "JUST NOW" in capitals, implying that anyone who has recently acquired [i]IceBreaker[/i] is an annoyance to you, and not as skilled?

1 ReplyMy friend, your first edit cleared things up perfectly but, unfortunately, it was too late. I 100% agree. The IB is not the issue. In ROC strikes, there is NO NEED to snipe from the Nexus and kill the Back Door Minotaur (r) nor do you need to pinhole snipe Brogoth from the 3rd room. (Yes, i did just register trademark Back Door Minotaur )

Sadly I had to buy my icebreaker. Lol Had a black hammer before an ice breaker but I'll just use it to gain ammo. I'm going to use bounties to lvl icebreaker. And tropic thunder was a good movie lol.

1 ReplyOmg lmao this is too funny. I half heartedly agree, it's annoying if people are making you do all the work. Personally I land my shots, so if I feel like being lazy and sniping I'm still going to get just as many kills. But if they bad kids it'd be frustrating.

1 Replyi dunno i consider those people that sit up top and snipe a lot more help than a lot of the people that go down and you have to put your life at risk 10 times to res their rambo wanna be asses lol. I dont care if they wanna do nothing but i would definitely take any help the randoms want to give! On a side note of my 4 roc strikes today and 8 different players i was paired with only 2 of them did not have an ice breaker out at some point. You cannot expect people to get a new toy and not have it out playing with it most of the time the first few days.

Unfortunately you just have to accept the fact that the way things are is simply the way things are. All I can say is wait till you have some friends online and create a Fireteam to run the ROC and avoid the randoms, because the majority of the community is going to be focused on using their Ice Breakers from close range to incredible distances. We don't all have the same kind of mindset when it comes to strategies in how we play, how we receive new toys, what burdens we may place on other random players, or the simple capacity to really care at all in general. Don't take my post the wrong way, I'm not being negative towards the OP or anyone else, I'm simply saying it is what it is. Make your own Fireteam for modes that require Fireteams.
