Sure, it's a pretty drastic measure but Deci didn't seem to understand why she did it. He ruined their marriage and now she'll have to probably raise the kids on her own. Depending on what kind of guy he is, the children may not have a father figure in their lives.

What he did was wrong yes, but that's not an excuse to cut his penis off, especially twice. Could you imagine if the whole situation was reversed here? People wouldn't be all like "Yeah, he did the right thing you her." No. They'd have a -blam!-ing shitstorm and would want him crucified for what he has done.

She'll definitely have to raise the kids on her own, because she ATTACKED HER SPOUSE WITH SCISSORS. I'm not saying what he did was right, but there's a point where her act of revenge far outstrips the actual crime.
