This is the point of the game... You grind for rewards. If you don't want to grind this game is definitely not for you. Levels 1-20 are very different to 20+. Just be glad you're playing post dlc, it's gotten way easier to get to 30!

Wouldn't it be better if we actually earnt our rewards? By lets say, amount of kills in Crucible? Or actually give us different levels to play? Destiny didn't ship with enough content to make us pay for more.

That would still involve plenty of grinding. Now you're complaining about the RNG loot system which is what 70% of this forum is posting about.
