What you are asking is impossible to do? Old gen doesn't hVe enough power and speed to keep up with each frame. It will override the system.

And yet PC gamers have no trouble playing very high end performance games across all varieties of graphics cards and any other combination of components. Come on guys, I'd hope you are smarter than that. Only limitations are servers and access restrictions.
-
Mac gamers have a difficult time playing PC games - I'm having difficulty understanding your response.
-
There is a difference between Mac and pc. But the difference between the consoles can best be summed up as Intel versus AMD. But the real issue is that it's your machine running the game and sending information to a server. The server is just coordinating information. It wouldn't be that hard to cross platform game it just removed a reason to upgrade and makes the choice between Microsoft and Sony even less relevant.
-
They both run at 30FPS. Maybe the Current-Gen(Xbox one/PS4) might have a graphic advantage, but that's all. However I do notice that the frame rate seems better on the Xbox one then the Xbox 360 and PS3(Last gen)
-
Nice techno babble to prove you have no idea what you're talking about
-
But I do :)
-
Yeah, clearly.
-
That shouldn't matter IMO. They would still be thier respective fps, but on the same server. Playstations, and Xbox's overall performance shouldn't matter. I would think You can still link the servers together. This is just my opinion.

What.... No. There are plenty of cross gen games that do just fine. Destiny PS3 and Destiny PS4 are literally identical. Sure there's more grass and rust here and there on next gen but they can absolutely cross platform the game. They even said they were thinking about it at launch....
-
Load times on PS3 take forever
-
Destiny PS3 and Destiny PS4 are literally identical.
If that's true then you should be able to take a PS4 copy of Destiny and play it on a PS3. Go ahead, try it, see what happens.
-
The coding for gameplay is identical. Graphically, the ps4 runs a higher frame rate and resolution. I'm fairly certain the textures are even the same (annoyingly). The disks won't play in the incorrect console, as they are encoded to work with their respective console's hardware. But as far as the content is concerned, they are the same. Long story short, the way the disks are encoded has nothing to do with the content on the disks. It is the same game running off the same servers. Long story shorter, he's right, you're wrong.

I literally see no difference besides that next gen has more hair on Xurs face and more grass on the ground ....
-
Did you read the rest of my post. Your argument is dumb If you can tell me one thing different besides detail, I'll be surprised. Because VOG on PS3 is the same VOG on ps4. The Pvp maps are the same on my PS3 as my ps4
-
Insults, really? What you see and what developers see are entirely different things. Seriously, do it, take a PS4 copy of Destiny, put it in a PS3, and try to play it. You shouldn't use the word "literally" so freely.
-
Bro.... Are you kidding me.... Putting a different consoles disk in another console doesn't prove anything. Being able to play PS3 with ps4 players would work completely fine. They copied and pasted a game but called one of them next gen. All you have is a little more detail. But no big advantages at all. Actually support your argument. Amuse me
-
Putting a different consoles disk in another console doesn't prove anything.
It absolutely does. If they are "literally the same" as you have stated then a PS4 should be able to run a PS3 copy of the game. But no, a PS4 cannot run a PS3 copy of Destiny. Why? Because they are different in ways that are not easily seen by consumers. These differences are what makes cross-gen difficult and costly to-do.
-
Um no... Cross gen is done in games already for example DC universe online. Sure ps4 renders things 2 seconds faster but it's my advantage and a little before launch Bungie said they were considering cross gen but then decided not too. So obviously it would of worked just fine if they delayed it and worked on it more
-
Cross gen is done in games already...
Yes yes, you've said that multiple times already. I said difficult not impossible. Are you even fully reading my posts or just enough to try and insult me? Either way, that isn't even what I was initially arguing, the matter at hand concerns your "literally the same" comment, for which you have not provided any evidence to back up your statement. But if you think it's so easy, why don't you make it work yourself? According to your logic it should be a simple task.
-
Just found an article stating "Many aspects of the game remain the same on all platforms. There's really no difference at all in loading. The game is fluid and action packed" -Bungie Engineer Roger Wolfson Would you like a link .....
-
I've already said they are literally the exact same game besides next gen has a little bit more detail. You still haven't given me any examples of how they are different. I'll look for the video of them talking cross gen before launch
-
You do not know what the code looks like. Do not tell me two things are identical just because they look the same when you have no idea what's going on in the background. How many different ways must I say it? You said that they were "literally" the same, do you know what that word means? You even contradicted yourself in the same post by acknowledging that their are visual differences.
-
They were, I remember. I have no clue why they didn't. If it's too get more people on next gen, that's pathetic. I would of course still upgrade when I can.

Talk to me when mlb the show comes out

What...
