We want cross-gen Destiny!
It's time to allow cross gen for destiny! For so long players have been complaining that they can't play with their friends who haven't gotten next gen consoles or can't afford to. Bungie constantly says they are trying to build a community of togetherness and cooperation, why not let us play with our friends in the same console family?
I understand the argument about better hardware giving an unfair advantage but that advantage could very well be due to the TV the player is using and I think the benefits of being able to play with friends on older consoles far outweighs the negative aspects (are there any really??).
So c'mon Bungie, give the people what they want! Let me know what you think Guardians

It's probably more to do with psn and xbl not being on the same set of severs cross gen. There is probably also different software require for say 360 and xbox1 which would make for to much lag. It's not as simple as saying we want it.

A Xbone and Ps4 cross would be sickkkkkkk we could settle the dispute of who's better xD, you'd always find raid groups, Crucible groups, nightfall groups (unless you do em solo like me) or something it'd be awesome. So let Xbox get the ps4 exclusive content and do it Bungie!

Bungie can't even programme their own game properly. You really think they'd be able to cross platform? One of the reasons there are so many bugs and glitches is because they spread their resources thinly over 4 different systems. Destiny should have never been made in Xbox and ps3.

12 RepliesIts literally impossible for cross gen gaming because the ps4 servers are on a differnet network than ps3 servers, the same reason cross platform gaming isnt a thing (psn & xbox live)

Destiny 2 is not going to be on old retarded gen so there's absolutely no reason to invest in that system...

Finally someone is bringing it up. I think they should as it severely limits who you can play with. I'm on 360 and I know slot of people on one who I really wish I could play with. It would just be good overall. And for the naysayers, there won't really be that big of an advantage

It's all BS, Final Fantasy does cross-gen and cross-console just fine.

Bungie said from the start that they scrapped the idea of cross-gen due to the limitations of last gen consoles. Current gen systems gave people too much of an advantage.

You are the first person I have seen say anything about "cross-gen" destiny, so I don't think there is really a demand for it.
