We want cross-gen Destiny!
It's time to allow cross gen for destiny! For so long players have been complaining that they can't play with their friends who haven't gotten next gen consoles or can't afford to. Bungie constantly says they are trying to build a community of togetherness and cooperation, why not let us play with our friends in the same console family?
I understand the argument about better hardware giving an unfair advantage but that advantage could very well be due to the TV the player is using and I think the benefits of being able to play with friends on older consoles far outweighs the negative aspects (are there any really??).
So c'mon Bungie, give the people what they want! Let me know what you think Guardians

I know some that can't upgrade to current gen until sometime later this year, and to be honest there are so many great games for the 360/PS3 that there is no reason to jump ship to current-gen if you have not experience what the last gen has to offer. Being able to jump into a game with your PS4/XBone buddies for Destiny would be really great! I know it is technically feasible, and short of a financial or contractual obligation for not doing it, I can't figure out why you wouldn't want this. The advertising alone would be pretty advantageous I would imagine? Bungie, give it some serious thought and if not, give us your reasoning behind not doing it. If it is financial or contractual just tell us and we'll drop it (we all live in the real world and totally get that crap, hate it as much as you do probably!). I don't think the resolution differences would be that dig of a deal...and if so maybe just do the PVE for cross generation and keep the PVP for each gen separate. That's a solid compromise if you give it some thought?

We have enough error codes as it is, without introducing cross platform play. Good idea, though.

As much as it is a mad idea and it would be good to communicate with other players on other consoles, it will never Microsoft already tried to do it with pc on one of the games and failed miserably, just sucks, and Becouse Microsoft and Sony are in compition with each other they will never sign a contract to do it. I reckon it can be done they are just being money hungry

This... got a friend on PS4 and can't enjoy the game with me because I'm on XB1/360 Its sad honestly....so who gives a crap we're on different consoles...its the same damn game....we should be able to have fun all the same. Shouldn't cost us half a grand or more to fix a problem like that...
