What started as a great big slap to the face of many who would be getting new video games, in my opinion, is the best thing that could have possibly happened on Christmas.
Christmas is about giving gifts, eating good food and spending time with family and the ones you love, and more importantly to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Xbox has a way of breaking those habits and isolating gamers from all others. So, while the servers are down, people really have no choice but to sit down and have a nice cup of cocoa with the folks.
And I think you'll realize that you'll be the better for it.
Merry Christmas everyone, and have a blessed New Years.
Edit:
I didn't take in consideration things like Skype and video chat for people who use it to communicate with others over long distances or parents who have gotten their kids xboxes for Christmas, and if that's the case, I apologize.
This wasn't meant to be a douche post, just my personal opinion on family time in the holidays. No need to get so worked up. If it bothers you, move on.

This forum taught me a valuable lesson: Turn notifications off!
Also merry Christmas. Lol.

You have no right to tell someone what they should be doing on Xmas. There are millions that don't celebrate it and they couldn't play. What if people don't have a family at all? Just because you spend time with your family on s holiday doesn't mean everyone does. This attacking was BS and I hope that group spends some time in a 9x9 room for a while. They will finally lose their virginities but maybe in a way they didn't intend.

Kekekekekekekekekeke I'd much rather play Xbox than spend more than an hour (much less three) with virtually all of my extended family. There's too much commotion, and too little entertainment.
-
Not everyone has a family to spend time with, have you thought of that?
-
Me too. I've learnt that steam is an amazing thing.
-
Yeah? -I live alone -I'm only 19, making around 1,200 a month -Living on my own paying bills with money from a shit job -No family (they are all deceased) -No loved ones to spend time with -No one to spend holidays with or to simply just enjoy being around. -Only form of entertainment is Xbox Now with all that said, when I get home after dealing with assholes at work for 8 hours I like to enjoy some Xbox because that's my only real entertainment. When I hear some jerk offs decide to take it offline for no apparent reason it pisses me off.

Not everybody has the ideal family situation. Some families don't want certain members around, some people don't have the means to meet up with their family, and some people simply may not like their family. People shouldn't be forced to spend time with their family either because then it makes the family feel less important and sort of like a conciliation prize. I didn't play this Christmas not because if the hackers, but because I chose to go down to another state and visit everybody. Even then I assure there were plenty of times during the visit when I would just go back to my hotel and watch a movie because everybody was tired and just wanted to relax, rest up and even a little bit of a break from everybody before we went out and did something the next day.

I will openly admit this: I am a member of Wizard Squad.
-
Take your religion else where please. And yeah. Everybody spends time on Christmas with their family. That doesn't mean they shouldn't get to play games at all that day. What about those distant parental folks or grandparents? They just tried to get involved with the kid by buying them a new game they talk a lot about and the kid can't even play. That aside forcing something is never the correct way. It always has negative things in the long run. The problem of society today is most people want quick fixes and results now. They don't care about long term. I don't care if the attack had good intentions behind it or not. It still doesn't make it justifiable. Any decent person should know that.

Im on now soo..... lol

Some people don't have families, others have spent 10+ hours with such people. I myself spend much time online and was very let down I didn't get to see my PS brothers and sisters on Christmas. Life comes in much more variety than you're teeny tiny little world you live in. Poke your head out, take a look, maybe you'll see something different than what the mirror shows you...

Would u be glad if lizard squad made you lose money? Or if because of them you were forced to spend time away from your family? Or denied the excitement your kid had in the morning of hooking up his brand new system and playing destiny? Yes millions of dollars worth of dmgs and time lost caused by lizard squad was a good thing.
-
Xbox isn't down for me
-
I agree.. Christmas is a time for being with family and friends... Not sitting in your dark basement playing destiny. I guess if you just got an Xbox for Christmas that sucks.. But just deal with it, stuff your face with cookies, and move on.
-
I don't give a -blam!- about Lizard Squad doing it because a bunch of 12 year olds in a basement should not be able to wreck a billion dollar company so easily. I mean ffs they even warned M$ they were gonna do it a month in advance
-
Heres my opinion on your post : go take your heart felt lessons in a rocketship with you and fly into the sun.

What's Jesus's bd got anything to do with Christmas?! Christmas has always been about booze, weed, bacon and video games for me!
-
It doesnt matter what christmas started about, it has developed into a day where you are forced to spend your hard earned money on other people or you look like an asshole. Also an excuse to get together with people who annoy the shit out of you and pretend to like eachother. No matter what you believe this day is about it has absolutely nothing at all to do with what you are actually doing today. I am a grown -blam!-ing man and if i would like to play my xbox i payed hard earned money for and relax on my day off of work i should b able to. ITS JUST ANOTHER DAY!
-
I hate to break this to you, but not everyone celebrates Christmas. Not everyone follows your creed or share your beliefs.
-
Jesus wasn't born on December 25
-
Wow the hatefulness in these forums is disgusting...
