Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

My first legendary engram it's a special weapon I got two ascendant shards my friends first legendary engram he gets Ice Breaker

Just today I'm doin ROC strikes, both my team mates leave, so I roll thru the valus strike solo, get the boss fight, almost dead, 2 guys join in. One guy gets 2 kills and gets the last word, and I get legendary boot engram that turned to crap. RNG is an asshole

Legendary engram for nightfall, turned into 2 energies at cryptarch

Did the Nightfall on two characters the first night of The Dark Below. I got 5 strange coins on one, and 6 coins on the other..... I was livid.

Did a weekly heroic solo and had a low level friend join in at the end. He got two legendary engrams, I got blues.

Legendary Engram turned out to be a Mote of Light. Also, during one of the Nightfalls, my 2 other Fireteam members got Legendary weps, and I got 4 shards.

Upgraded ice breaker, maxed it out then went to raid. Exotic chest gives me new icebreaker lol, so I got an exotic shard

1 ReplyI dont play a ton so I haven't got many drops. The first two legendary engrams I ever got turned out to be ascendant energy, not something I wanted. So the other day when dead orbit gave me a purple hand cannon for increasing rank, I was stocked. The very next day I got my third legendary engram, it turned out to be another hand cannon with all the same upgrades, great. The best part is when I increased my crytark rank later that day, he game me my fourth legendary engram. It turned out to be the very same hand cannon (the devil you don't) I got earlier. So there it is, still looking for a secondary weapon, but I have three hand cannons

20 something hard atheon checkpoints and no vex my mate does his first run last night and gets it

Every time I RNG an exotic that I already have. Happens more than you'd think.
