What was your method of stopping?
[spoiler]
Honestly, I'm asking this because I've wanted to quit chewing tobacco for a while, and I just don't know how I'm going to do it. I told myself I wasn't addicted until I tried stopping for the first time. It completely derailed me until I continued. That was about 3 years ago and I'm still packing. I started about 5 years ago, and while that doesn't sound like much, it's quite the toll on my wallet and dental health. My teeth just don't feel the same anymore. I can't sleep if I don't have a lip before bed. I don't mean for this to be a sob story, or attention whoring, I'm just seeking advice. Thank you.

The song is rap by the way, so if you detest the genre, don't click on it.

this is what i did. i had made multiple attempts at quitting in the past at this point. i had a note pad on my pc where id keep track of what i smoked. i usually had about 3 an hour. i gradually cut it down week by week until i got it to half a cig every hour. at that point i could actually go an entire shift at work without a cig. i found the most successful attempts were when i found a reason to just crush the absolute shit out of that pack and rage about quitting, and find a reason for quitting that i couldn't bullshit out of (ie family/friends have asthma, bad example, cancer) and cold turkey from there. when you cold turkey with a shit load of rage and instilled coping methods youll get it done if you want it.
