Oh because not all of us suck. Rather than crying here if you cannot do it, just give up. Not everything should be obtainable by giving bungie an ocean of tears. Stop crying and man up to those that cant get it

I'm doing it for my second time (already have 1, and doing it again for the exotic shard). I'm at the Xyor part so I finished the crucible part already (again). I forgot how frustrating the void damage part is, I'm not great at crucible, but I'm not bad either. That being said, everytime I died, a flurry of curses came out of my mouth. I can see why people give up on it, because it makes crucible un-fun. It feels like too much pressure. I prefer doing crucible for fun and play better when I"m not forced to use void. Rather than tell people not to cry, try to understand where they are coming from. It is extremely frustrating if you don't play crucible often. Even when you get on a roll and you see your numbers go from 450 to 390 after a bad match or something, it's just depressing. It's probably better to give tips and say "we've been there, brother" rather than complain about complainers.

Just because things are able to be earned does not mean everyone is entitled to it. I keep saying if you can't get something through skill, friends, tactics. You don't deserve it. People just want everything handed to them now a days

I'm an admittedly subpar crucible player and I finished it. Take a void fusion rifle into the the control playlist and have fun. Killing Xyor was a little challenging but I did it with one friend playing with me. The trick is to stay on the floor where Phogoth is chained to avoid extra ads being dumped in on you. If you try to ply from the raised platforms in the room, additional ads will continue to spawn in making it a lot tougher. After unchaining Phogoth, ignore him, and keep your eyes on the landing pad where the tomb ships drop in. Xyor arrives with the third ship. Being a defender Titan or having one with you really helps too. Good hunting!

Yeah man I don't know how I got my first one, nor what I was thinking grabbing two more bounties for it. Being so impossible it just doesn't make sense. Hehe /endsarcasm
-
Woooooooooow...
-
void weapon in all 3 slots + camp A, B , C in control and 2 good friends to help with the the mission afterwards
-
i done it by pressing the square button in my inventory til it disappeared , even with atheons epilogue and secondary and heavy void it was just too annoying , it was a huge mistage making the progress go backwards , that was just pissing me off so in order to keep liking destiny i had to get rid of it

In the process of obtaining a second thorn

As much as I do agree the bounty is difficult...I agree bungie should leave it as it is. It's a rite of passage. I have one myself and too many tears were shed doing it but I did it XD not shamed to say I was frustrated but I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Nope to dam hard

Edited by Kaysar-8: 12/3/2014 4:32:16 PMWow these type of post are proliferating at an alarming rate. Glad to see that others are interested in the Thorn. I used the Suros Regime (did not have the Atheon's Epilogue at the time) /Final Rest II fusion rifle/ Exodus Plan/ Zombie Apocalypse W47 weapon palette to finish my crucible bounty. A word of advice is to take it slow, do not worry about dying so much, and have fun. If you take your mind off of the bounty and rack up kills it will make the process faster and more enjoyable.
-
Use corrective measure and praedythes when you can and use a good primary to avoid dying
-
I got the epilogue from the raid its a primary void assault rifle so getting 500 points was the easy part. Doing the strike and getting to the boss and the ships xyor appears from don't show up wtf that's what's got me? I waited over a half hour?
-
Get the Thorn bounty when you hit 29, you'll get it done before you reach level 30, then it won't seem so bad. Thorn rocks, stick with it y'all!
-
I have done 4 bounties and honeslty believe thorn was the easiest. The fusion rifle part is really easy if u have a light beware void. But just playing control u usually get more kills than other modes. The summing pits part is the easiest parr of the whole bountie. Especially if you got ghorn. Or VoC just hide behind the rock on left side of map he comes in on 3rd drop ship just pop out and kill shit then take cover again then repeat. Im not talking about the rock on the ground if you were wondering. Its a safe spot behind that.
-
I did the 3v3 death match with a void fusion and a void heavy. It was easier to get more kills than deaths and not have to worry about getting shot in the back or worry about any objectives.
-
I did it in about 6 or 7 games as a voidwalker. The real bitch in that bounty is Xyor.
Oh because not all of us suck. Rather than crying here if you cannot do it, just give up. Not everything should be obtainable by giving bungie an ocean of tears. Stop crying and man up to those that cant get it
The most useful advice I listened to while on the quest was ignore the quest. Use atheons epilogue and just enjoy yourself, you'll get it in the end and just kill stuff
-
Atheon's Epilogue, Void FR/shotty, Corrective Measure Thank me later.
-
It was pretty easy for me. And I did it as a lvl 24 hunter with only one void damage gun which was a rare fusion rifle. Then again I only get on 2 days a week so waiting and grinding never bothered me.
-
Did it in about 3 hours with a 28 hunter For PvP used P: Atheons epilogue S: wizard 77/preadyths revenge/invisible hand H: unfriendly giant(cluster)/rare heavy machine
-
Lol I'm not even good at PvP and I got it in a day.
-
Thorn's bounty was very difficult 2 months ago, when your character still had a lot of garbage gear. The Crucible part was very frustrating for me, especially as an average PvP player without many decent void options. Now, it would be a different story. I have more experience with PvP and my whole PvP special/PvP load out happens to be void based. Just because something is easy for you, doesn't mean it's easy for everyone. I don't think Thorn's bounty needs to change, but it also almost cost me my controller, so I understand the frustration.
-
I finished it ages ago...
-
I finished the last part in exactly 5 games with a void fusion rifle
