I'd like to begin this post by saying thank you to the entire team at Bungie that is working hard on new updates, patches, hot fixes, content, and most importantly listening to their loyal community.
Now, on to what I believe is the most important.
Putting what most people rant about on the forums aside... (weapon buffs, weapon nerfs, low level Gaurdians killing high level Gaurdians, complaining about fixed exploits, etc)
I believe the biggest issue the Destiny community faces is lag/latency. For those of you unfamiliar with lag/latency. Lag is a noticeable delay between the action of players and the reaction of the server. Although lag may be caused by high latency, it may also occur due to insufficient processing power in the client and/or server. My friends and I love Destiny and enjoy playing it. We often play it everyday. When DeeJ let everyone know that the Iron Banner was to return, we we're anxious and excited to jump in and play it for hours so we could obtain rank 5 and enjoy the pleasures it provides. Unfortunately we are finding this task a bit more difficult than we had previously believed. When placed into the matches we found ourselves attempting to play in some of the worst lag ever. But unfortunately this isn't a new problem. It has always been a problem for PVP. The community is tirelessly playing your game for thousands of hours, exploring every inch of the worlds, and uncovering new surprises. Bungie & DeeJ, you speak of all these new features and updates to make the game better. Unfortunately some things haven't changed. We still have lag in PVP and too many error codes to count.

We understand your loot system and most of us are okay with playing this game for 6 months before receiving an item that a lucky new Gaurdian just received. All we ask as a community is that you make this game more stable. There are many things that could be tweaked and fixed in the game for all of us to be experienced but if we can't connect to your servers and stay connected how are we to experience all of your wonderful content? In Destiny (Unlike Halo) your customers have to play this MMO style game for many hours to aquire new items and achieve higher rank. That being said without providing reliable servers, then releasing new content it just makes us frustrated and tired of this game. I would love to be around to play this game in the future, after several updates and expansions, but I won't be around if some things don't change.
Again thank you for all the work you do, we appreciate it even if no one acknowledges it.
I hope Bungie and DeeJ read this.
