This is a post bio-weapon attack survival game by Ubisoft and the makers of previous Tom Clancy games including a more new developer, one of the next-gen games that was supposed to come out next year for a 2015 release and was sadly delayed to 2016. It is now scheduled to release, officially, in 2015. Since this is Ubisoft were talking about this most likely spells out an uncertain future for the survival shared-world RPG third-person shooter. You can however feel certain that the game will be a solid release.
The basic premise is that a disease spreads on Black Friday causing not just New York, but the entire United States to collapse in five days. The player is part of a group called the "Strategic Homeland Division (SHD)", or "The Division" for short. This group was established to combat the threat brought about by the outbreak and are given direct authority by the President to do whatever it takes to "save what remains" in a shared world online situation, putting them against AI, as well as other players in an amazingly detailed open world game.

://Then a link to the E3 Gameplay video here>>> http://youtu.be/JhBAc6DYiys
Now some of the stuff shown in the videos has since been edited and rehashed into a different system that will work pretty much the same but with added features. Those videos were shown at E3 and are currently sort of underwraps by Ubisoft.
This game is promising almost everything that Destiny promised before they had to cut out tons of content and turn it into DLC. The game will be coming out for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2015. The exact date for the release is unclear but it may happen sometime in maybe early 2015, no sooner no later. Here's a video sort of going over the details. Here's the link.
://Another thing: If you have any questions about the game you can Google it, check out my links or just ask me some questions about it. I can probably answer any questions you may have. (Not guaranteed though.)
://Update: The game is rumored to have a beta coming out in March. I'm not sure whether you need to pre-order or not but I'm assuming it might work kind of like Destiny. First all the people who pre-ordered will get early access and then the other people will later get a free version to download on Steam, Uplay (and other PC downloadable game clients) or from their respective marketplaces on consoles.

Most of this stuff might just be speculation, I'd take it with a grain of salt.
://Update: Here's a link to a new clan forum that is relatively new (compared to Bungie.net).

-I'd recommend this one more if your just looking for a fresh new community and some clans to check out if you plan on getting the game. I INSIST you check it out if your planning on playing this game and are serious about it.

Sorry for being ignorant, but I haven't really looked at a lot of info about the Division, can someone tell me what it is that everyone seems to get hyped for on this game?

Got some more links from Open World Games channel on Youtube!

Fear its gonna be a trainwreck like the other major ubisoft releases this year; AC:Unity, FarCry 4
Ubisoft
I would be excited, but I know their PC ports are complete shit.
-
I'm not sure if I'll get this, but I do enjoy a Tom Clancy game from time to time.
-
Ubisoft games have glitches and bugs. So many of them. Skipping this one.
-
Hopefully this game delivers and doesn't turn out like Destiny.
-
I've been keeping my eye on this game since last year and I am getting more and more excited but I try not to get my hopes up with games anymore after a year of disappointments
#gaming!
Anyone know a good tailor?
I need a change of pants.
The Division has a lot of promise, looks beautiful and seems like they have some great ideals flowing to make it a fun as hell MMO 3rd person shooter in an open world. But as previously stated, Ubisoft is creating it so don't be surprised if it falls short. But im hoping they learned from watch dogs and ac unity and make this game completely spectacular and not 3/4 of the way finished on release

Looks cool, but won't get it for a while.

Edited by SALTER 420 PATH: 11/22/2014 4:35:28 AMI am pretty exited for this one. It looks really cool and thanks for posting this. We need to keep up the gaming discussions to overpower the desticle recruiters. Save #Gaming

The game looks pretty cool. I watched the original reveal teasers some time ago. I'm keeping my eye on it. Do you know what the demo was playing on? Pc or early console build? Hopefully this is what the game will look like when it's released as far as graphics go. I know sometimes it's" watered down" since the demos shown most of the time are on computers when there's early reveals. Looks interesting. I''ll wait for reviews though. It's hard to get excited for new games now. You'll end up with remorse if you spend money on shit that ended up missing the mark. I'll say though, it's some damn sugary eye candy for sure haha.

DON'T LET THIS THREAD GET BURIED BY LFG POSTS, OH GOD THE HUMANITY! THEIR EVERYWHERE!! *screeches uncontrollably*

I call a -blam!-up, after the Destiny realise I'm pretty skeptical about these things
-
Too bad it's made by Ubisoft... They have been absolutely horrid thus far with multiplayer on next gen...
