What would it take to make you a Christian? (non-theists)

The point was raised in HM Rob's thread, in a strange manner that didn't work so well. So here's a direct question for the atheists of Secular Sevens; what would it take for you to become a Christian?

people who claim He doesn't exist have the same burden of proof, except they shift the focus and burden to the believers. the problem for the nonbelievers is that Judaism and the Hebrews as well as Christianity and Islam have been around longer than the doubts have. these religions refer to (particularly Christianity) actual interactions with Him. in addition, we have physical proof of His existence. these acts were recorded in the books of the bible because they were worth recording for teaching future generations. the stories have been recited for millennia. only within the last century or so have more people started to not believe in God or Jesus Christ. this stems from our furthered scientific understanding of our world. the problem is that the more we learn, the more we think we know, no matter how little we actually do know.

      • Anti-theism bears a burden of proof because it claims that no gods exist. Atheism does not claim this. Atheism is the position that theism has not met it's burden of proof so we do not believe the claims. You don't need to prove that you don't believe in something.
