We all have had people be both amazing players and total jerks. We are allowed to report both of these things.
in PvP for better matchmaking why not make it a bit more competitive.
Have a secret gearscore value added to items, for example. that way level 1 guys wont go with someone who has full lvl 30 gear and exotics.
compliment this by factoring in combat rating, and have a rank(not a faction rep, NOT A FACTION REP), which at certain points gives you a bonus. For example at rank 50(halo 3 max rank, so i can draw a direct comparison *cough cough*) you get a special shader, ship, armor, or heck even an emblem.
in PvE there is no incentive to help people, BUT alot of people do it anyway. Make reporting good things, like being friendly for example, worth something. such as similar pvp rewards but built for pve(like get glimmer from assisting a character) at max rank, or a special helmet or aura to show you are a superstar.
make leaving games early, on a regular basis(not by DC or netcode isssues mind you) drop rank or reduce damage you do. I find 2 an hour a bit much. Make idling or not helping in a strike(looking at you, tigerstrikers) decrease the reward(for example green gear is you have been reported for idling, by more then 4 people in an hour), or at least the rep and marks.
i believe this small change could improve the community in the game.
also, i know there are typos and i cant spell well- i am sorry.
edit:also please comment about things you think could help
