Great post. You cover a lot of valid points. The game feels almost empty now, every box has been ticked, every map explored, every piece of armour maxed, every mission completed. There's something seriously lacking and I believe your suggestions would bandage a lot of the wound Bungie has left in Destiny's wake.

And neither of your Alts have even hit 20. I'm 29 on my main as well, and have done everything but the hard mode on raid. Clearly you haven't maxed everything

Joe, I was speaking generally, relating to the vast majority of feedback from the Destiny population. You're correct in saying that I am not a level 30 and in fact, I do not own a single piece of raid gear - despite my repeated victories in the VoG. The point I was trying to make is that once players are there, the game becomes hollow. Hell, I'm not even completely maxed and it already feels stale to me.

  • My point really is that so many people say they've done everything in the game, but they haven't. The quote actually stated every piece of armor maxed, but even speaking for the general population that's simply not true either. I haven't checked in a week or so, but only 10-15% have even finished the raid. Sadly, the majority that have probably cheesed it and didn't even really experience it.

  • Yes, I agree with that. The Raid was intended to be a hard slog to the finish line in order to obtain the most powerful weapons and armour in the game. But I personally believe that Bungie are inadvertently the perpetrators of people discovering short cuts and it's down to the fact of them 'nerfing' the illusive weapons that are so sought after. I, for one, would not want to work my fingers to the bone, trapseing through the VoG on hard mode, to receive a weapon that is probably just as powerful/effective as a legendary of the same class. Obviously this does not concern the exotic helmet, which I believe is only obtainable through completing the raid on hard. I digress, back to my original post, I apologise for wording it in a manner that suggested I, personally, had completed all the tasks. My attempt was to reach out to those who are stuck in the rut of Raid - Nightfall - weekly heroic - rinse and repeat.
