Well we followed a single protagonist who developed throughout the different games, he fought alongside many a comrade just to watch them die in his arms, Johnson, Miranda Keyes, Cortana, even his fellow Spartans. The way we connected to the characters added to the drama and broke our hearts just as much as Chief. We followed him through countless victories and losses. The casualties just kept adding up, and the weight crushed his soul. But he kept fighting. At the end of halo 4, chief broke, he finally felt the weight of war bearing down on his shoulders. Destiny lacks the drama and feels of halo because you never go through any tragedies and you lack the humanity chief has. You never lose anyone special, let alone make allies. Your guardian is a blank sheet of paper, you write the story, but you've got writers block. You lack the components of a good story, and that's why people dislike destiny. Bungie spoiled us with halo, so now people are disappointed. R.I.P, Johnson, Miranda, Cpt. Keyes, blue team, Noble team, Jenkins… Cortana, and every soldier who gave their lives to save earth, we salute you. Never forget.
