Well spoken, the first post I've seen that doesn't slam anyone, but the publishers, and points out the faults with this business system.
It's a shame all anyone sees in this post is either "haha revenge" or "screw Sony". It's much more than that.

Thing is there aren't faults with the business model. It works for everyone (except the consumer) and they all profit. That's the way most big businesses work these days. Why either console fan base has anything to say to the other about it is beyond me, as it happens to both systems.

Believe me, I'm not saying that the business model is flawed , as you point out it works well. However, gamers as a community are losing to corporations, and there's nothing worse to a gamer than losing. And as gamers we are reinforcing this behavior to the point that corporations realize it's ok.

thank you... first comment that realized that and didn't project their fanboy point of view. I do really like this game and I don't care about what system you are on because i actually like both consoles, but i don't want this to be the common business model. i don't want to have to make sacrifices beyond selecting which games to buy or feeling like i've been rooked for buying an intentionally worse version of the game

Edited by Trando: 10/29/2014 6:35:27 PMThere needs to be a movement. I have nothing against business or making money as my father is a small business owner, but certain things need to stop. Gamers are losing to corporations, and many pass it off and don't realize it. In this current situation, I've seen more people here blame Bungie. Bungie isn't the problem, it's Activision. Activision isn't a company of gamers, they don't care about gamers. You know who does care about gamers? Bungie, Epic, Valve, Naughty Dog, Nintendo, Irrational, Lion Head, Capcom, and many more actual game studios, or at least they make an effort to make it seem that way! The control of the gaming industry lies in the hands of publishers that could care less what gamers get as long as they come out on top with the illusion gamers are happy.

Edited by Krazed Islander: 10/29/2014 5:59:19 PMIt's said how people care more for revenge over a positive solution that could prevent this from happening again. I would think Sony players would feel the xbox players pain, but instead they rub it in their face. Thus further dividing console players.

I felt bad for PS3 owners when it came to timed DLC, well for everything but CoD because map packs are stupid and I never bought a CoD DLC.
-
Yeah like I wouldn't be too upset if we xbox users have to wait a extra week or two for dlc, however it sucks of we will never get it. Like with cod, xbox gets dlc first but it still becomes available on psn. To hold content back on a console when the game is already lacking it pretty lame.

I'm with you, I thought the DLC was going to come out 30 days later for Xbox, but I was happy to hear it was same day! Until part of the story was removed for up to a year...
