We have three pvp factions, why couldn't you throw on a piece of class gear from one of them, go planetside, and start murdering guardians wearing a different factions emblem?

My input is for the current game. Even with different factions - as is - it wouldn't make sense to kill fellow guardians when you're supposed to be working together to fight similar evils...

But isn't that the exact point of the crucible?

I thought that even though it was a silly idea, Phogoth with a Hat still made someone laugh a bit, and who's to say he couldn't have a sense of fashion. :-) The queen has Fallen, Vex could be hacked, Cabal could be bought, Hive could be taken over. PVP outside of the crucible. If the "Iron Banner" is a test of strength or purposes of pride, or proving self, then why couldn't I wager against your Clan for the same reasons? I think my clan could defeat your clan in a time trial to destroy X amount of enemy, or that (fun reason to play) could acquire more (something we need) faster than your clan? I'm talking engaging content over rigid lines of story, we are just players, what parts we play are irrelevant to the story of the Guardians.

Now see? Your argument is engaging with reasoning behind decisions. Yes, I laughed at the thought of Phogoth with a hat. Someone should have come up with someone in MS paint. lol
