I've done the raid a number of times and allow me to share a recent experience that fits in with your "everyone is pro" post.
We were a few short for our team (real life issues) so I turned to the forums to get some randoms. Now when one joins the first thing I ask is "how do you usually do this part". Since its always nice to learn new tactics for each part and more importantly if someone new is used to doing something its best to keep them doing it and i'll work my team around it since I get my team to switch positions frequently.
So this one guy joins for a hard gatekeeper part then begins to tell us. "I do it the only way your supposed to do it". Not a good start, followed by his death a shocking number of times. So I question him more, his answer was. "My friend does this, My friend does that". At which point my teammate then asks "what do you do during this", to which his reply "I sit above the portals and wait".
Thats what annoys me, people that shoot their mouth off telling others how to do it and lack the ability to contribute to the team. He kept dying so many times it was shocking, yet he left calling us noobs.
Sorry I tend to ramble, but my point is people that the OP descibe breed these sorts of players, ones that sit in corners and just let others carry them through it and think they are raid veterans. I tend to see more of them lately which is dissapointing. In my eyes a raid vet is someone that can go into any position you ask them too and won't be a burden.
