I've actually avoided the raid because I don't want to hold any groups of raid veterans back. Not that I think it would be difficult to learn, but based on what I've seen on these forums, people might not be friendly or patient with newcomers. I'm here to have fun, and a hostile environment isn't that.

Edited by The Last Rōnin (Timelost): 10/24/2014 8:16:12 PMIf you're on PS4, I'd love to help you out. I've been on several really positive raid teams, both on normal and hard. I have run the VoG with my level 29 Titan and level 29 Warlock. My Warlock went back to level 28 because I just got the raid helmet last night and haven't upgraded it yet. Still, let me know when you want to run the vault and I'll assist you if you are PS4.

I thought the same way...into I got ninja invited, straight up said I didn't know the raid and was just trying to do bounties during lunch, and that if they wanted I could stay but would have to leave in 45 minutes...they were crazy enough to have me handle the relic even though I was vocally clueless and -blam!-ed up twice til I realized what I was supposed to be doing with it lol... One person left abruptly, but the rest were pretty chilled about it and tried to work it out. Eye-opening experience.

If you're on PS3, my team would be more than thrilled to bring along a newcomer(even if you're lvl 24. We don't mind carrying, so long as you're learning). We love teaching new people how to Raid, which is learning and adapting quickly to new and unknown situations. We are very patient people, too. We will often spend 5 or 6 hours helping 2-3(once even 4) newcomers at once. All of whom are now friends of ours and raid with us weekly. This event brings people together more so than any game I've seen in a long while. It would truly be a shame to miss out on it. So, as I stated in my first sentence, if you're on PS3(or anybody reading this), and you need help running the raid, just let me know :)

Edited by durron75: 10/25/2014 2:29:28 AMI'm on PS3. I have had virtually no luck getting into VoG. I try to join up in the LFG page and I am forthcoming that I have not done the raid and no one lets me join as they all want experienced players. Highly frustrating. But I'd rather be up front that I'm new than get chewed out for screwing up by not saying anything. Anyway, I'm a warlock close to level 28 and I have a mic. Hell I just spent $90 on a mic for this aspect of the game. Never used one before. If you're willing to let me join and help teach I'd appreciate it.

Absolutely! I'll just need to know when you're available!

Well, the wife should be going to bed in about a half hour 😂. I'll be up for a few hours tonight to play. Not sure if tonight works for you guys. Heck, I don't know how long it should take.

Edited by RogueMedic: 10/25/2014 3:01:10 AMTonight works for me, not sure about my usual raid group(many of whom have raided a few times this week already), and some aren't on at all. However, that won't stop me from running it(I actually have a character that needs to run it, by happenstance). If I don't have enough available, we'll just find some. EDIT: I have already sent you a friend request as well. My ID is the same on PSN as it is here.

Great. I'll be on shortly as I think she's about to go to bed.

Thanks for the offer. I'm on ps 4, and lvl 29. We're I on ps3 I would certainly join you.

This forum is a poor representation of the community as a whole. There are plenty of groups that do not mind and maybe even prefer bringing someone new along especially for normal.

This.
