VoG and why its not as hard as you think!
Yesterday, I took a full group of new players to VoG into the raid Some had greens and some had blues, but all I know is that they were rejected out of it by groups because of gear etc. I led this group to atheon and downed him in 1 1/12 hours. I was the only one with prior knowledge of the raid and it was a group of randoms from the forums. But it isn't as hard as everyone thinks and I don't understand why people are acting so outrageously towards others in the LFG forum for VoG. Honestly all people need is guidance. Try being a little more helpful to improve this community :3 Extremidies out!

I'm glad there are people willing to help out others, I am normally a patient and generous person, but when I get out of work at 6, have to eat and feed/take the dog out, clean up, and then my girlfriend gets home at 9-10 so I am selfishly not looking to elongate the process any more than necessary. I'm sure once my girlfriend leaves me I'll help out any and all newbies.

Good to see some helpful people out there, I might try it with a few friends just to see what the fuzz about is. But imo it is just elitism acting like they accomplished something well it all acquires dedication and execution. If a raid was REALLY hard it would mean even after the first kill it still would be hard. But as with every raid when everyone knows what to do it gets easy and easier.

I agree, one of the major diffculties of the raid is: "What do I do?" I know myself that I struggled hugely starting out in the raid until I played with a bunch of people who k now what to do. So yeah spread the guidance!! :D

Why would the vog be hard when your guiding people and telling them what to do? Get 6 people who have never attempted it and then see how long it takes them. Part of the vog is figuring out what to do....

1 ReplyWe did a raid last night with a group of all random people, hardly any of them had mics, and we'd not done the raid together before, all it took was 1 guy saying 1 or 2 things and everyone else adapted and played their part well, it took us just a little over an hour, all chests included. the raid doesn't have to be a long complicated process, it's meant to be fun. I'm always happy to go in with a group of people who are new to the raid, as long as they're willing to learn.

I've cleared the VoG numerous times (at least 10 by now) but still don't feel comfortable leading a group of newcomers. As soon as I do get to the point that I can explain the fights clear enough, I'll be taking as many inexperienced players as I can get. The more people who know the fights, the better the experience will be for all PUGs. I should also add that the best feel-good moment I've had in this game was when me and a friend helped four inexperienced players down Atheon without cheesing him. The shouts of joy I heard in my headset just made the hour of wiping so very worth it.

2 RepliesHardest thing with the raid for me at the moment is to not lose my sanity over the lacks of raid gear drop, made a second warlock to raise my chances, got around 14 cleared raid activity between my two warlocks, still haven't got chest or shoes pieces. Starting to really feel the frustration building at this point. I enjoy the game and running the raid, but the RNG can really be utterly unfair in this game, saw a guy get 3 different raid pieces in one run, was quite jealous of that guy's luck that day.

From what I hear, the raid isn't hard, proper communication is. If everyone works as a team, it's easy.
