why is it so difficult to find people actually willing to help and just have fun with? so what if you wipe a few times, shits n giggles ... and to people saying it's because they don't like wasting time , guess what? you're playing a game! you already are wasting time!
what happened to just playing for fun, why is it being replaced by "i can do it faster" or "i have more kills!"
it's co-op , yet seems many people forgot what co-op is :(
Edit: My faith in online gamers has been restored ! thanks to all the wonderful replies! and hope to see you all online guardians!

with recent updates coming and lack of chat and randomness no prep. why do I want to waste hours of time trying to teach someone
-
It's troubling. I've been doing the raid since 'nam. It's made me less helpful.
-
We're out there. You just can't hear or see us behind all the "elitists"
-
I love helping people, I mean why not? What's the harm in taking some time (if you have it) and helping someone. If I come across a team at the entrance to the vault of glass I'll stop what I'm doing to help them out. Sure I've done the weekly nightfall or the vault for the week and got my rewards already. But I'll be darned if I say no to one of my friends in need. Or I'll post on an LFG site asking if anyone needs an extra person. I can understand if you don't have the time to do a VOG run, but if you do have time then what's the harm? Just saying.
-
Any PS3 players who need a nightfall, weekly, daily, or raid fire team member add Dirty_Dan_117. If I'm not already in the middle of a bounty or something I'll help.
-
I've found great friends in raid! :) before I don't know anyone then I started the raid off with some strangers. Some would leave and some would just jumped in it is so much fun :)
-
Yeah they're dieing of with the people who respect other people's opinion enjoying certain games.
seriously, why can people understand that there are people who still enjoy playing Destiny!!
-
I would rather have someone who knows what a relic and an oracle is. Nothing is more frustrating than having someone who gets teleported and ignores the big glowing lights in the sky or someone who has no idea what a cleanse is. Also I like to play with people who know the importance if staying alive. That is why I usually play with the same people every week to complete the raid because we all know what to do.
-
I agree with all of this that has been said.
-
Almost every time I do the raid I bring in atleast one person that hasn't done it. I always add them too, that way, next time I'm looking for a raid group, it's less likely I have to search for people and I now have more people that are experienced on my friends list

community cultures always differ from game to game. there are always those that are decent human beings they just get drowned out by share mass influx of idoits. I figured as much for some reason COD and halo/bungie they are like moths to the flame.ppl crack me whining about lack of content not even informed enough to know bungie has a 10years plan and op weapons never having fired a Shotgun or Ar IRL Yes it should kill you within 20yards. Have days of playing time I've heard one random with a mic. kinda defeats purpose of a MP exp. IMO Hell even in the forums you can't find any helpful Faq or guides. PSN: DaiBoOK

I go way out of my way to point out chests to other players in the area. I figure they're farming material too, and I would be irritated if someone opened a chest and took off on me.
-
Yes, helpful or polite or friendly players is a dying breed amongst most games anymore. they are now the unicorns of the gaming worlds. there is Co-operation is Co-OP it is ME-op.. where I come first, and you can be damned if you get in my way.. for my stats are all imporatnt and you mean nothing unless your better, than I will make sure you do worse to prove that I AM BETTER. This is because of games like CoD where over emphasis was placed on stats.. stats like k/dr and w/lr
-
I've been helping out others with Raids and such even though I don't get rewarded , sucks that they never do it in return anymore. Helping people is fun because I have nothing else to do anyway.
-
I know I might get bagged on for this but I helped 10+ groups push Atheon off on hard mode even though I already did it for myself, sad thing is only 2 people I helped got the vex mytho

If I see friends on the weekly with less than 3, I try to jump in to help. PS4: krimzonxiii

level 30 warlock. shows I'm 28 cuz I'm leveling praxis fire. :P also 27 hunter and 24 about to be 25 Titan so I'm gonna raid 2 times tommorow and nightfall/heroic. add :MysticInfinity
-
After tommorow's update? There will be significantly less. But other than that I guess my clan is full of them.
-
I'm a helpful player when I can be. I also enjoy playing for fun, don't get me wrong I destroy shit when I play. When I say I play for fun I mean I don't take the game so serious as to impact my enjoyment of this leisure activity. I'm on ps4 add me if you're down for just having a good time.
-
Stay true to the way you play and you'll eventually find others who think likewise about gaming for fun. Personally, I find too many helpful people Im kind of getting overwhelmed adding so many friendly people haha.

Raid XboxOne 6pm ET Wednesday October 22, anyone down just message me GT: kandyflippin on Xbox, I'll add you and invite you to the fire team. Need 4 people so the firsts ones to message and are online will be the ones in. I'm a lvl 27 Titan and also have no experience so experienced players with patients and willing to share some knowledge would be awesome.
-
Need a lvl 30 hand? Inbox me
-
I just helped a group of six 25-28 folks get into the VoG, just something I like doing when patrolling Venus. Helping is good! I'm available to help with Nightfall and weekly Heroic on weds/thurs if anyone wants a lvl 29 Warlock, xb1. MUNCHKiN WR
-
If anyone can help me with VoG on ps3 I would greatly appreciate it. I'm a level 26 hunter with absolutely nil in the way of experience with VoG although I am a decent player (not great by any means, but still....) I just want someone who will be friendly and helpful. If you're one of those elitist types, I'm not interested. I'd also be happy to lend whatever aid I can in weeklies and nightfall, but as I said, I'm not a great player. If anyone would care to, add me on psn isiramamoocow2

For what it is worth... I go out of my way to sparrow over to any fallen guardians whilst out on patrol...in order to revive them. Hope this restores your faith in humanity :)
