Back in the good old days of my MW2 career, clans were a big thing. They were very organized and were constantly in conflict with other clans in the MW universe. One of the great parts about joining a clan was that there were usually several members who's specific function was to train new members in the ways the clan fought together.
I've noticed we have a number of DoDs who are kind of in the same boat as myself...prepping for the upper level raids and strikes eagerly awaiting a chance at VoG. Each of us may have different "specialties"...PvP, PvE, Farming techniques, etc. and perhaps together we can combine our talents and become legend.
Here's what I would propose...a group of 9 core members (3 fire teams) who can mix and match as available using the "specialties" of it's members to all get better. The "specialties" I speak of would be PvP and PvE strategies, farming runs, navigation...anything we could come up with. The team would meet up and have the specialty member of the day show us their stuff. I think many of us would like to get with someone who can assist us with the team strategies to best run these raids and strikes and to succeed in the Crucible, so let's do this. Once we build ourselves up as competent fire teams would could then go to the more senior members of the clan for our first runs through VoG under supervision.
Let me know what ya'll think...

cdnbacon13 that's great idea, i'd love to put it to the test sometime.

Yeah. We could do a don't fall of the bridge class or how to turn on your mic...the possibilities are endless.

Edited by OldManBacon13: 10/16/2014 8:49:47 PMI think this would make a lot of sense in the crucible. Especially in control. I think that if you can split the 6 man fire team into 2 distinct roles 1 team to defend and one to capture or pin down the other team at their only head point, you could roll other teams. Here is what I thought might work...when the match starts, send 2 guys from the defend team to the closest point to capture it (we will call this A). The remaining guy from defend goes with the capture team to B. Once B is captured, the member of defend stays put and the capture team pushes forwards and assaults C. The defend team should always have one player at A and B and then the third guy can roll between the two to assist where needed. If a point is lost, lets say A, the defender from A can fall back to help defend B until the capture team has reclaimed A or taken over C. Anyways just some thoughts I had after a lengthy session in the crucible with a full squad where we could not get much momentum going. I just think our strategy was way off. -bacon

I really like this idea. It would really help out us noobs

PS. I think this could work as well with groups at other levels... 1-8 9-15 16-20 20-24 How ever they group according to common goals.
