I just have to sound even more negative by saying that I wonder when Borderlands and Mass Effect fans will all abandon this title out of boredom, and hardcore FPS fans will leave because a better FPS shows up.

Ah. So the only people that enjoy Destiny are Borderlands/Mass Effect fans and "hardcore" gamers. No room for anyone else to fit in the mix of millions that are still playing an average of 3 hours a day a month after release.

Edited by Durandal: 10/13/2014 1:47:33 PMI didn't mean hardcore as in the elite, but hardcore as in really really like FPS. I'm eager to know how many purchased or will purchase the DLC. Unless Bungie adds more gameplay mechanics, the next shooter from the next developer will be as popular as, if not more.

You think the every shooter will be as popular as Destiny? By that logic, Destiny shouldn't have sold any better than previous shooters.

Actually. I kind of do. To insult Activision completely, I'd say it's not hard to make a better shooter. There is also no good alternative. At least not on the PS4. Thus, you grab what you get. That's what I did. To my dismay. I'm not saying that people who like Destiny now are wrong. I'm saying that people who want more will leave, eventually, and people who are fine with the quick log in and kill will find something new sooner or later. Of course, I wish the coming DLCs will be good. I personally don't want to pay £90 for a game.

Well, that's a thought that can be back up with statistics, and not belief. I'd be interested to see it.
