Actually theyre quite confirmed...
Range determines how far you can deal 100% weapon damage before it falls off to 50%. Range also effects the "Bloom" of a weapon thats being hip-fired.
For fusion rifles Range is different. Since Fusion Rifles have no damage fall-off Range increases the speed of the projectiles you shoot.

Fusion rifles have huge damage falls off. Hip fire dmg vs ads dmg is significantly different. You are already wrong so I discredit your entire post. The game is only a month old. Mechanics aren't confirmed.

The damage fall-off isnt modified by the Range stat, its static. The stats are confirmed try google :)

simple testing fails your claim here.. and if its on goggle .. or wiki.. or the net.. it MUST be true >.> suros regime... maxed out.. go to the right hiding tunnel while fighting the fallen devil walker.... first set your second option to stagger rounds.... fire upon the legs.... then change it to range increase.. thus doubling your range for the gun. you will notice youll be doing about 25 more damage a shot... becuase with the extended range of the gun its falloff angle is less steep... letting you do more damage over a farther range. taking ANY gun with a range boosting interchange.. and testing it in PvE with the different stat modifies teaches you alot.
