I did think. In the beta, iron banner was in two hour chunks, if you stayed in the playlist you could play all day. Like I did. While you may be correct level 8 does not = 29/30 there were still fresh characters not at lvl 8 competing. There was no difference fighting them while in ib compared to crucible. Morale of the story was I played the beta mode and didn't notice a difference then and still don't now- hence not surprised. I was just sharing how I felt and you seem to feel compelled to make me wrong for what purpose?

May be correct? Level 8 is nothing compared to a 29/30, complete FACT. Also if you read the NOTES released 10/10/2014 it is Quoted "To keep competition close and avoid unwinnable fights, the largest advantage you can have is around 7 levels" (could have been explained during the beta). How could we know by playing the beta, that my level 30 would have NO more impact on a level 4 than my level 11 character since the beta cap was level 8 and higher levels could not be tested at that time. If you were really thinking you should have never posted something about a BETA. BETA is in layman's terms is TEST. I did play the BETA Iron Banner and from the feedback that was given to Bungie they altered "nothing". So sir if you did in fact play the beta and did not voice you opinion on the lack of difference between regular Crucible and Iron Banner at that time "you are partially to blame with the current condition of Iron Banner". Final Note: Complete lack of details from Bungie to consumers about what the Iron Banner took in to account vs regular crucible. Another Quote to support my above statement 10/10/2014 Bungie Notes "The way we pitched Iron Banner did make it sound like a “no-holds-barred” playlist. In reality, we delivered what we felt would be a competitive experience for everyone, not just players at the level cap."

Edited by DragonLTD: 10/11/2014 8:55:50 AMPlease try harder to explain how I am wrong and you are right. You missed a bunch in between that beta test part. I am but a drop of water in the ocean, who's to say I didn't make my thoughts on how the iron banner played out during that test? Also the weekly update came out after I made my comment. All I was saying I was not surprised from playing a form of destiny that has much similarity to the launch title. Just say ok and walk away.

Bro all this could have been avoided if you just shut your mouth and not made a smart a$$ comment such as "If you played iron banner in the beta, you would already know that it this mode was almost identical to normal crucial. This was not a surprise to me at all." Who's to say he didn't play Iron Banner in the Beta and who's to say he saw a difference or not between the two game types. Considering the fact that you and just about everyone else was a level 8 is the main issue, you cant's say you saw how uneven it was then because the level difference DID NOT exist at that time. Basically you are saying in your original statement that you already knew that a level 4 was going to stand a chance against a level 30 in the Iron Banner just because you played in the beta that stopped progress at level 8 (let me see levels 1-8 beta vs 1-30 now "hell of a difference"). P.S. - It's ok you can tell the truth "You and I know you didn't say anything after the beta about how broken the Iron Banner was" except your friends maybe.

Wow someone is really mad I made a comment and opinion based in facts I have experienced. Again you don't get why I am not surprised from playing the beta. I know how games work. I have played many competitive games and know about balance and what developers go through to make it an even playing field. Regardless of level 8 or 29/30 attacking a lower level in destiny does not mean an instant win. I am sorry if you can't comprehend simple statements based off logic- the delivered as an opinion. And P.S. I have shared my thoughts on all the pvp modes in the forums at the end of July 2104. But it's ok. You and I both know this is no longer about destiny.

It's not supposed to be an even playing field, that's the point in having better armor and better weapons. How can you not comprehend from Bungies own quote they "presented 1 thing and put out another 1" ("The way we pitched Iron Banner did make it sound like... In reality, we delivered") from their own mouths. So you know what developers go through to make the games even hu, how do you know? Again Iron Banner IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EVEN if you are 26 lvl's higher, thus all the complaining in the forums. If we were all to expect Iron Banner to be this bad from playing the beta as you say, then why is everyone flooding the forums with complaints. Maybe it's because they thought it would get fixed...possibly, maybe because they didn't play the beta...yea could be, or maybe BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A 26 LVL DIFFERENCE TO IN THE BETA TO TEST THE ISSUE. I still say you can't calculate/know the outcome/severity of this issue only using the beta because you are missing variables needed to complete it. It has always been about destiny brother, how you take the comment is all up to you. Maybe you shouldn't have come out in the first place talking as though everyone should have known Iron Banner was going to be this way. It's like saying you should have known the story and all the characters already because you played the beta "not possible". I got one for you can you tell me now what is going to happen over the next 10 years in the game "all the story, all the characters, all the events"....according to your first comment we should all know considering we played the game already. You could have worded it different maybe saying "When I played Iron Banner in the beta I noticed it was not much different than regular crucible" or something like that.

Edited by DragonLTD: 10/11/2014 7:06:22 PMI worded what I said on purpose as I am dissatisfied with how the game came out. Lots of let downs for me. So what I said stands and your last bit there looks like you came to the same conclusion if I would have just used different letters on a screen. There a many other things I could say to defend what I already have said but what's the point. Sorry you felt I was being pretentious. And to add Bungie has said a lot of things that didn't quite come to fruition, so my comment was hurtful but could be viewed as justifiable.

Oh I also know a few developers, some have even worked on halo games, ya know? Wife is from Seattle.

Wife from Seattle, Wow you should be an expert on gaming because of that reason alone. So now knowing some developers that so called "worked on halo games" makes you know what developers go through? I know that when I go home I don't tell my wife, family, friends, or anyone else what frustrations I go through on a daily basis with our games. I don't tell them about the long meetings, the great time I have coding, or the fun I have when the test teams come back to tell me all the issues they found that now need to be fixed. Maybe I don't tell them because of the NDA or the fact that they don't care or just the fact that it's my job and I have to deal with it. It is common sense to NOT make the part of a game balanced that is NOT supposed to be balanced (AKA Iron Banner).
