I'll be addressing this in the Weekly Update.
Preview: Power Matters, but so does skill.

It was SUPPOSED to be unbalanced. No one forces low level players into the event. It's another FAILURE.
-
What good is a public event that is gated by the very top? Seriously you won't get many players playing if it was so lopsided.
What good is a public event that is gated by the very top? Seriously you won't get many players playing if it was so lopsided.
Because it's a DIFFERENT mode from regular Crucible. It's supposed to be for those who have the top end gear. They advertised it as such, and that's not how it is. What's the point of having an event that's identical to what we already have available?

Edited by DeathWyvern: 10/9/2014 3:22:39 PMYou would still have the exact same thing in a matter of days once people realize they've been screwed out of an event with overpowered players in every match or people bailing at the first sight of a number they don't approve of.
You would still have the exact same thing in a matter of days once people realize they've been locked out of an event.
What?

Iron Banner was supposed to make gear and levels matter. It's the reason everyone has been raiding and grinding ascendant shards. Many people and I have been busting ass to get our characters as high level as possible before IB came out. Now, we find out we could have been lv 21 and still done just fine. Crucible already exists for what you speak of. This was supposed to be a simple week-long event where your hard work paid. If a 140 lb man knowingly joined a wrestling match with someone who was 250 lbs, he would lose. That's as good of a metaphor for how IB was supposed to be as any.

DeeJ, why has Bungie been intentionally misleading us? You have some serious explaining to do. For instance: I turned on Destiny this morning and the Title screen tells me I need to "Press 'A' to Play". Well, I pressed " B" and the game started playing anyways... I'm confused. Why does the game start, even though I didn't "Press A"? Is this a glitch? Please be honest with us.
-
The 'Press A to Play' is a server login, the character loadout requires a connect to the server, as much as playing does. They save your Character and Game to the "Cloud" so to speak, and not to your PlayStation.
-
Well thank goodness it doesn't save to his playstation , because he's playing on a Xbox.
-
Ehhhh smartass lol either way, it doesn't save to your console of choice.
-
The 'Press A to Play' is a server login, the character loadout requires a connect to the server, as much as playing does. It's misleading and confusing. Bungie needs to fix this.
-
This is what you have a problem with?? The "Press A to Play"????? Seriously??? That should be the LEAST of your worries. Holy crap.
-
This is what you have a problem with?? The "Press A to Play"????? Seriously??? That should be the LEAST of your worries. Holy crap.
Dude, it's a serious issue. It's a blatant lie by Bungie and the first thing you see when the game starts.

i still wonder what sense this press A has, whys not start off with the screen where you can choose what character you wanna play ...

I am glad you are releasing something to comment regarding IB, but please be around to answer our questions if we got it. This makes 0 sense for a lvl 4 to still trade with a 20+ even with a headshot assuming that the guy has rare + headgear.
-
Yeaaaaaah. Im not sure what bungie knows what theyre talking about. Thanks for trying tho... Need 4 for vog on the 360 tonight at 11:30 est. Gonna do some content that actually works as advertised.
-
Hmm...I think that's a bit of a stretch too with the bugs seen in VoG :D

Wow just -blam!-ing wow.

Edited by Crixus Gallicus: 10/9/2014 12:36:43 PMDeej why don't you just admin your marketing team failed in presenting the game properly once you guys knew it was not going to be what you promised? Most of us "grown ups" know how a product is dealt with once is off the developers table. For once when you give a game to testers listen to all the testers not only to the bosses son. People knowing that a game is buggy wont react so aggressive towards it, actualy will help you out with testing they will do for you FOR FREE! Peace out.
Most of us "grown ups" ...
Do the quotes imply that you, are in fact, not a grown up?

Does that even matter?
