(Edited) Absolute proof Iron Banner is complete bullsh*t!
I was making a new warlock and got through the 4th mission or so. I was level 4 with my friends who are all high level like my main. I decided to test Iron Banner because last night I really didn't see much of a difference playing with my lvl 30, it felt like regular crucible. So I joined up with my friends to play some Iron Banner. I was expecting to walk in and get one shotted with an ankle shot, instead I was baffled at what happened. Watch the video, and let me know what you think.

This is crazy and needs to be fixed as quickly if not quicker then the loot cave! I wanted my gear and weapons to mean something after all the effort I put into upgrading them. I don't mind getting my ass kicked in IB if I deserve it from a better skilled and equipped player.

2 Repliesyou got hit with maybe 10 bullets that game, each time it was a solid hit you were pretty much 1 shotted. the guys you played against missed everything and most of your kills took the whole clip. You clearly were a far superior player to those you played against. It looks like total -blam!- but my moneys on if you crunch the numbers it would work out. I think many gamers nowadays are far too quick to hop on the hype train cause its the latest internet trend.

6 RepliesFunny enough, it won't work if you try it the other way around. I tried using a 56 attack pulse rifle with my level 26 titan, and I couldn't kill anyone.

A buddy and I grinded away, the best thing we got was the motes of light needed. So I was able to get the Leg. mark I wanted.

1 ReplyWhats most likely is they just expanded the ranges a little bit. For example, if normally they keep everyone between 150 and 180 health, in normal crucible, IB probably expands that range from 130 to 200 If they did something similar with the weapon damage values, the difference is probably only enough to make you take an additional 3 or so shots to be killed by a lower level player Its not something that would be easy to pick up on at first glance playing online This is another instance where it would help to have private matches to test stuff

It looks like level does make some sort of difference. You did end up getting 10 assists after all. With that being said I agree and think the leveling should work more like it does in pve. If you're character is a low level than you shouldn't even be able to play iron banner. The only time I could see that being a problem is if iron banner ever got its own game types but as it is now it's not like low level players would be missing out on anything since it's pretty much just control.

3 RepliesThe Iron Banner is the biggest pile of dung I have played on this game anyway. Everybody is racing to get bounties because Bungie thinks it is a great idea to only give people a week to reach Rank 3. So what do I get for TRYING to capture zones? I get destroyed by 4 people because my idiot teammates are all hiding in the corner trying to get 10 kills in a row. Or standing on the edge of the map trying to snipe people for headshots. Reason I hate Call of Duty: Killstreaks created more campers. Reason I am starting to hate Destiny: Adding bounties that are almost impossible to get without camping. Just trade it in for NBA 2K or something.

Haha wow, I was in this match. I remember wondering why it was as easy to get killed by a level 4/5 warlock as it was for me to kill level 30s. I d/c in the middle of this game, but yeah I was a bit pissed since Bungie hyped that gear and level would matter in Iron Banner. I haven't played another match since. Besides, I've been having more connection issues since the hotfix than before.

This is sad! A level 4 with poor gear is handing out a** whippings on level 28s like its nothing. When level 20 fallen can one shot kill level 5 players in PvE. Seems odd to me not "skill".

I've thoroughly enjoyed Destiny and have recommended it several friends but the Iron Banner is a joke and not at all as advertised.

10 RepliesHonestly, i think the most awful piece of this event is how awful people are at a simple game of control. Its not that complicated: hold two zones and win. Why do people try to get all three and then just end up running into a big circle. Some of the most god awful strategies i've seen have been playing this event so far. Very sad
