One thing I've realized in life is that things aren't always going to turn out the way you expected. Maybe that's because you envisioned something better or wanted something more. Whether it's a family member you're not too fond of, a friend who screws you over, a girlfriend who becomes your worst nightmare, a marriage that ends in divorce or a child that doesn't live up to your expectations. Whatever it is, get over it. Life isn't custom made for you.
All I've noticed lately are a bunch of posts about "Destiny lacks this" and "Bungie screwed up that" and "I hate it" and "it's not fair" and "we were lied to" and "it's a waste of money"... on and on and on. Enough. Plain and simple, if you don't like it, don't play it. It's the same concept with TV. If you don't like the show, change the channel. The same thing with radio. If you don't like the song, change the station. Stop b****ing and complaining about a game that doesn't live up to YOUR standards. It wasn't meant to.
Understand that while the game's designers try to keep the gamer in mind (as most of them are gamers too), it's a business and ultimately it comes down to money and that's the bottom line. And that goes for ANY business. Yes... the game has to incorporate many key elements that will generate mass appeal, but still conform to industry standards. And if that means that some people are going to be disappointed with the (not-so-finished) product, oh well. And I say not-so-finished because most games offer future DLC to extend the gameplay.
Unless of course, you can come up with the millions needed to start your own company, hire your own staff to fill all the necessary departments, create a product, test the product, market the product, distribute the product, sell the product and keep your business in the black all the while making EVERYONE happy. If you can do that, then you have every right to b**** and complain, but make sure you make it happen. If not, shut up.
This is Bungie's first game since Halo: Reach. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe those who are disappointed are comparing it to Halo. Well, it's not Halo. It's Destiny. And if you ask me, I think they did an amazing job. I'm not going to make comparisons or complain about what Destiny is lacking or what Bungie did wrong. I'm going to enjoy what Destiny has and look forward to more awesome content from Bungie in the future.
BTW... I'm sure I'm going to receive negative feedback from the Bungie community on this one, but that will probably be from the ones whom this is directed at anyway and (to be completely honest) I don't care.
