Purpose of Our Alliance

The idea behind our Alliance is that small clans carry with them an atmosphere of being close-knit. That atmosphere is typically lost on large clans. The ideology behind creating an Alliance of typically smaller to medium sized clans is to maintain that overall feel of being close-knit while fostering an environment for a greater community at large. Upon launch we can use our Alliance to coordinate and meet up for PvP and PvE. We'll have access to a greater breadth of members while keeping our close-knit groups intact.

  • I just wanted to share a couple sentiments that have developed over Destiny's first week or so, the most important of which is about the Clan/Alliance part of the experience. I don't know how much time everyone might spend reading Destiny news and feedback, reviews and forums and stuff, but I think most people have recognized by now that the game really successfully hyped up expectations ahead of its release, and as is always dangerous with that level of expectation, you risk falling short and disappointing people. From invisible walls and ceilings, to a really short-shrifted opening chapter of the story, a lot of people are feeling let down. There are always bright spots, of course. I'm pretty underwhelmed by their storytelling so far, but I'm optimistic that something more solid will emerge, and I can make the most of it. But here's the best part for me, so far: From what I can tell, this game is going to be carried a long way on the backs of friends making up fireteams to work through challenges together. Whether its PvP matches, or Strikes and Raids, it's clear you can achieve more together than solo, as I'm sure was intended. In the little, tiny bit I got to play with Dolittle, Kookez and jLeprechaun this week, I felt the satisfying 'Yeah' of teamwork. So, thank you, and I look forward to more repeated brutal deaths at your sides, haha. TL;DR Clanmates are going to be the longterm lifeblood of this game, I think, and I'm glad I found some good folk to kick off the experience. Cheers.
