Sorry, I disagree with religion in general and the problem in the Middle East is very real.

The problem in the middle east can't be solved by western interference.
-
But I'm Muslim :(
-
My best friend is Muslim, sorry if I offended. I was pointing at the extremists. I don't stereotype all Muslims as such
-
What about Christian extremists?

Edited by LegendOfWinter: 7/9/2014 4:12:40 PMToo messy. No proof. Children still die, families get torn apart. To know there is some sort of omnipotent figure that could change it all is disturbing. Yet we see no effort on its part. Christians don't believe in some parts of the bible even though it was claimed to have been the word of god. Which means they basically dismiss their own god. Islam was built up around Muhammad's conquering and the ideology is ancient and unable to adapt to modern times... Also that it says to kill any non believers is a real turn off for me. I don't no enough about Jewish culture to really comment.

That is incorrect, Islam is able to adapt to modern times. There are 3 sects of Islam Conservatives, Liberals and Innovators. The Liberalists want a more adaptable form of Islam that is more in tune with their modern lifestyle. Again Learn before posting.

Oh trust me, I know. Religion has caused a lot of issues. It's not for me, that's for sure. But the issue isn't because of Islam itself. It's because of conflicts between multiple religious groups. Islam just happens to be one of them.

They kill their own people and suppress the rights of women. Its not religion, its an excuse over there.
-
No they don't, that is the extremist ideology.

There are extremists of all parties. Unfortunately media coverage tends to only be on those extremists, so that's all we hear about. It's really not my place to argue, as I'm certainly no expert, but I know there are tons and tons of misconceptions that Western civilization has about the religion.
