Is Satanism a Evil Religion?

Look up satanism, theres 2 versions. The stupid and evil one that you see get faked in shows like paranormal state. Then theres the modern, more athiestic satanism, LeVeyan Satanism, that is actually not too bad and in some cases i'd prefer it over christian. Its rules/comandments are in some cases much better and more logical than the ones in christianity or the 5 pillars of islam. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself. Do not harm little children. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. Some of it is obviously pretty dark and cruel but its not as bad as people would expect.

8 RepliesI can imagine a Johova witness coming up to a satanists house. He rings the door bell and the satanist opens the door. "Would you care to take a minute to talk about our lord and sav-" He looks in the back of the house and there is a group of satanists about to sacrifice a goat in the middle of the room. Everyone looks at him and the witness makes his fingers into a cross and yells. "REPENT REPENT FOUL DEMONS!!!" Then the satanist shuts the door on him. Another satanist walks up and asks. "What was that about?" "I dunno just some Johova witness" "Okay" *turns around and slits the goats throat* "HAIL SATAN!"

2 RepliesIf a human was created to be a leaf on the tree of life., then starts breaking the laws of what it means to be on that tree of life....then that leaf falls off of the tree and has been cut off from lifeforce of the whole. So why would u chose satanism as a form of mental belief when you as a being are following the law of life.

It depends on where you stand in terms of perspectives and morales. What one person views as "evil" another views as "good".

5 RepliesInterestingly enough, God has murdered more people in his own name than Satan ever has throughout the entirety of the Bible. If you also examine WHY Satan is what he is, it's a pretty tragic story. A son who disagrees with the policies of his father and who takes steps to change those policies, being cast out of his home and made to suffer eternal torment. I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't think my parents would have dug a hole, filled it with fire, cut off my arms and legs, and casually dumped me in just because I disagreed with their rules. I don't believe in any of it, I'm just making a point.
