Seems like i had to make the official discussion thread this year :)
Time to celebrate with some pie!
-
Ea Conference in 4 panes.
-
Anyone remember the name of that game made by Giant Squid? I thought that looked awesome for an indie. Reminded me of Journey under water.
-
The destiny trailer looked pretty bad tbh
-
If there is one thing I can say for certain without a doubt, it's that two fan bases truly won out today: the Halo community, and the Souls community. Kudos to both
-
Wasn't Bethesda announcing something today? I missed it, can anyone fill me in?
-
-
Microsoft absolutely killed it out there. They did two things I thought were no longer possible: Sold me on the Xbox One, and rekindle my passion for Halo.
-
Alright, I did some reflecting on the E3 conference. And you know it's bad when Call of Duty looks more interesting than Destiny.
-
They just released the trailer for the Arkham Knight footage, and the malfunction is there, so yes it was part of the trailer if you were still confused about that.
-
Crowd cheering because it finally ended.
-
Anybody expecting Xbox to start selling more than PS4?
-
SONY'S MASTER PLAN IS GOING ON UNTIL THE COMPETITION DIES OF EXHAUSTION ISN'T IT
-
Welp! time to get some popcorn and go watch the MELTDOWNS over at the destiny forums.
-
Tbh the best thing there IMO was littlebigplanet 3

Edited by Vgnut: 6/10/2014 3:01:14 AMSony won it. Not to say Microsoft did a bad job or anything just that Sony had the better showing. What of Microsoft announced stacks up to Bloodborne? Where was their show stopper that rivals Uncharted 4: A Thief's End? Where was a big title exclusive to the Xbox One getting announced and releasing this Fall? I will say that Sony's presentation dragged near the end while Microsoft kept up a solid pace.

they showed MOVIES LITERAL MOVIES

Edited by GTnotincluded: 6/10/2014 3:10:26 AMIt's weird. I'm seeing a total split as compared to a definitive victory last year. Personally, I think Microsoft killed it. Sony started out at the summit of the mountain they spent a year climbing, and then tripped off of it after showing off. They recovered at the very last moment, but it didn't save them from the damage taken during the fall. Microsoft on the other hand was all smooth sailing the entire time, save some patches of rough water. Honestly, save for a few good games, Sony pulled a 2013 Microsoft conference that almost bored me to sleep. At least Microsoft kept me interested.

Overall E3 Impressions: Microsoft - Pretty solid. Sunset Overdrive looks fantastic, and the Master Chief Collection isn't just going to be a money grab like I though it would be. Sony - Started and ended strong, but they really lost momentum in the middle. LittleBigPlanet 3, Uncharted 4, Phantom Pain, Magicka 2 and No Man's Sky were all good announcements, even if NMS is multiplat. The Arkham Knight trailer was brilliant too, with the Scarecrow thing. EA - Extremely disappointing. Sports, sports, Battlefield: Hardline, and more sports. They say nothing about Battlefront, and BioWare announced that Mass Effect 4 and a new IP are both in development, but say nothing about either of them Ubisoft - Aside from The Division's trailer, it was also pretty bad and Aisha Tyler is so god damn annoying. Nothing really stood out to me.

Blonde Mohawk guy is so horned up right now

Edited by Jordan: 6/10/2014 3:02:18 AMAll in all today was good all around, it's gonna be a good year and beyond for games. I don't really give a Shit about Nintendo's press show.
-
Xbone fanboys pretending the batman "hack/break up" was real and wasn't a part of the show.
-
Even Jack Treton thought this was a mediocre conference. Wow...
-
Both Sony and Microsoft had great events, now we have to see what Nintendo has to show
-
Great press conferences except EA (they seriously -blam!-ed up). its a great day to be a gamer, hope you guys enjoy the rest of E3 as im doing. The future looks bright again for current gen.

Sony's conference went up, and then it hit rock bottom, kept tunneling until Minecraft bedrock, then pulled itself out for the finish. There was a lot of good stuff, but there was so much drag as well. It was a good conference, but since everyone wants to compare it with Microsoft, it fell short due to the wave of everything no one cared about.
