So how long until we all go Solar?
So when will we dump the more primitive and dangerous forms of energy, for the more resourceful and useful ones?

My guess is never. We need much more energy than we can collect with panels. If we get to a point where people really feel fossil fuels are untenable, I think they'll finally dedicate enough resources to get fusion going.
