In America, drugs and drug policy are currently one of the biggest issues socially and politically. And with Colorado and Washington having legalized pot, and states like California and Oregon looking to follow soon, the topic has been thrust into the spotlight. So flood, what do you think about drugs and their legalization?
Personally I support the legalization of all drugs. The 'war on drugs' has been a miserable failure, and an immense waste of money. Further it's created an entire class of nonviolent, victimless criminals, and diverted law enforcement away from much more important things. And when we look at Colorado, or the medical industries in stated like CA, it becomes obvious that we have nothing to lose, and all to gain.

Decriminalise possession and make it mandatory to attend rehab groups, distribution should remain illegal, certain ones *could* be used through official channels, such as hospitals allowing addicts to use safely as a part of the rehabilitation process. A smack head in a locked ward using clean needles is less of a threat to society than some tweaker using bathsalts and going full blown zombie. As for things like cannabis, it's at the point where people who want to use it will just wipe their arse with the law. Imprisoning everyone who does is futile, fining them is a bureaucratic nightmare and a waste of police time. I loathe the stuff and I hate people using it, but the logical reasons for keeping it restricted when things like Alcohol and Tobacco are not is... dumd. I'd love to see all forms of recreational drug usage removed from existence but ah well, we can all dream. If you need drugs to feel good, you should re-evaluate your life.
