I was watching a video about the new FWD BMW 2 Series. All the people looking at the new 2 said they liked it better than the 3 or 5 series because of the FWD. That got me thinking why do people hate RWD? I guess it's due to driving in slippery weather but I've driven RWD vehicles in it, and it's not really that hard. I guess I'm just in the minority.

Because it has more drivetrain power loss than FWD and handles worse of all drivetrains in low traction scenarios(which is why entry level rally racing typically use FWD, and high end use AWD). It also increases weight. I always notice FWD getting the most hate of all drivetrains.
