Just wondering, will factions play a bigger role besides weapon choices and customization? Will it only pvp? Huge faction wars seem like a viable concept. Anybody know anything new?

The factions will provide you with exclusive weapons, armour and other customisation options for your character and vehicles, but apart from this, not much else is known. I think that factions could link into your character development, with certain factions rewarding you with certain types of weapons. For example, for an aggressive player, Seven Seraphs could be a good choice as their (only at this point) leaked weapon is the Pocket Infinity sub-machine gun, which could help you in CQC. Whereas another faction such as New Monarchy could reward you with huge machine guns such as Super Good Advice (I assume Super Good Advice is new Monarchy because of the colour scheme) Just a thought :)

I was watching the trailer from E3 and noticed that a Fallen captain was guarding an Awoken who was sitting on a Throne. I believe it was at 2:40. Anyways, something tells me that something is going on with the Fallen and one of the factions. My guess is that maybe there is a small rogue splinter group of Fallen allied with humanity. What do guys think about this?

Probably in faction wars it will take two random factions put three random players or a fire team in the same faction and make the two fire teams or random people fight each others factions.

We don't know much about the factions other than there will probably be some faction exclusive weapons and armor...as far as how the factions will play a role in the gameplay itself Bungoe hasn't said anything yet...I don't think we will know much about them until either the beta hits or when the game launches if its not in the beta

Factions are mostly for the PvP part of the game

Alright thanks guys, just interested. If I got to spill some blood and get an xp boost (mudblood) while dancing on my fallen enemy faction members with my fellow faction mates, it'd be glorious. Also looking for a little more than red vs. blue... like if you fight certain factions special things happen or what not. Pretty interested in it.

We don't have much information on the factions and how they play into the other game mechanics.

Edited by Yggdrasil: 4/3/2014 2:06:54 PMFrom what we know they could be the teams of Destiny's competitive multiplayer. In Halo you had red team vs blue team etc. In Destiny it'll be Faction Y vs. Faction X.

Factions better not separate players in pvp. Dumb if I can't play with a friend.

Edited by OsiRis VeX: 4/3/2014 1:49:48 PMIGN says that factions will hire you to fight for territory and power in the competitive PvP.
