As some, maybe a few, of you may know, I had a reconstruction of my ear when I was very little and had over 12+ surgeries getting the ear canal done, given cartilage and everything. Through all that, I can barely hear through this ear and I have to ask people what they said since they ask on the side I can barely hear from. Luckily, I am getting a hearing aid implanted in my skull so I can hear, but that won't be until later this year..
Would employers not want to hire me because of this?

Are you American? The Americans with Disabilities Act was passes explicitly to keep people with disabilities, like deafness, from being discriminated against in job applications/interviews. You'll be fine.
